Oh wow! I have gone back to episode one and it is so good, so relevant.

Callistemon Mon 22-Apr-19 10:23:46

Hastings has to be too obvious but he is certainly rather shifty; surely he wouldn't do something as daft as keep that money?

It's certainly going to take a long time to clean up all that blood and leave no DNA traces Atqui - they can't call in a cleaning company - what will they do with the body?
Corbett's DNA should be on the database so, whatever they do with the body, there will be a match to the blood traces. Unless they burn the place down of course.

I thought Lisa was an UCO but the relationship with Corbett was strange.

Thanks maggiemaybe

Surely Hastings is too obvious? I hope it's not him. If the three main characters are corruptible, and particularly him, then there seems little point in watching it because it would be too depressing. Do you think all three of them will still be around at the end of this series? I'm beginning to wonder.

As others have said, I think an effort is being made to set him up. I wonder what the Northern Ireland story is.

It is violent but I have seen much worse things on TV - for example Luther.

Maggiemaybe Mon 22-Apr-19 10:00:15

You’re right, trisher, Meg and Iam, of course it can’t be Ted (bucks up and stops snivelling). smile

trisher Mon 22-Apr-19 09:33:31

NOooo it can't be Hastings! I know all the evidence is there but it has to be red herrings. Lisa could be daughter/lover of H. But then there is the N Ireland connection. Everything seem to point to Hastings, so it can't be him!

ninathenana Mon 22-Apr-19 09:15:31

We thought Lisa was UCO at the start of this series, then changed our minds. After her reaction last night we're wondering again. Or could it be that she was little bit in love with John ?
Can't make up my mind about Ted.

Lily65 Mon 22-Apr-19 08:47:28

I was bored and switched off. I loved the earlier series, the interplay between the characters, the Dot character and the intrigue.
The Ted back story is dull and I can't understand the Liverpool accent.
Oh and it's horribly violent.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 22-Apr-19 08:44:03

Blimey! What awful goings-on! I never expected that.
I've also lived in a comfortable little world - I never realised that organised crime was so well, organised.
Is Ted really the villain?
And who is the corpse in the freezer?
I can hardly wait until next week.

Meg54 Mon 22-Apr-19 08:43:52

If Hastings is behind it why is he so poor?. He could have trousered some dosh from the raids and rented a decent gaff (said in east end criminal accent).
Also this fellow who turned up out of nowhere offering Hastings some money back from his bad investment (absolutely unheard of in real life) I think is part of the same plot to frame poor Ted, so he will suddenly have loads of money, which he will not be able to explain away.

Greyduster Mon 22-Apr-19 08:41:20

Blast! I fell asleep at half past nine and missed the end!

Atqui Mon 22-Apr-19 08:39:13

Thanks Iam64.

Iam64 Mon 22-Apr-19 08:34:06

Atqui, she's Gill a woman who previously failed to seduce Ted . She's a bad lot (lawyer I think) and I suspect up to her neck in the corruption of police officers. I fear she was after Ted's dna for nefarious purposes.

Unknown spelled 'definately' so Ted is likely to be Unknown? I do not believe he is corrupt. I think Lisa is his UCO and he's investigating. I fear he's about to be framed.....

Atqui Mon 22-Apr-19 08:09:37

Can someone tell me who the woman is that Ted took back to his room?

Atqui Mon 22-Apr-19 07:30:41

Oh...Thanks.

Pittcity Mon 22-Apr-19 07:28:33

Atqui, the body was frozen in series 1 (2012)

Maggiemaybe Mon 22-Apr-19 00:25:21

It came up in a message from UNKNOWN on the laptop that John and Lisa keep consulting.

Eloethan Mon 22-Apr-19 00:00:55

Who wrongly spelled the word definitely in the last episode, I can't remember?

Atqui Sun 21-Apr-19 22:47:53

Does it really take that long to die after the throat is cut? Not necessary to show that methinks

Callistemon Sun 21-Apr-19 22:46:19

It's highly significant!

Atqui Sun 21-Apr-19 22:45:15

As it’s a pet irritation for me!!

Callistemon Sun 21-Apr-19 22:45:02

Yes, we picked up on definitely/definately

Bridgeit Sun 21-Apr-19 22:42:47

Very unhappy about the graphic violence tonight.

Atqui Sun 21-Apr-19 22:40:18

I don’t know if it was brought up in the show, but one of the reviews in the paper made a joke about it, and I noticed it .

Mapleleaf Sun 21-Apr-19 22:37:44

Wasn’t something brought up about the mis spelling of definitely in last weeks episode, or am I imagining that? (I’ve slept since)!!

Atqui Sun 21-Apr-19 22:37:24

Sorry That must be

Atqui Sun 21-Apr-19 22:37:02

ThUst be from previous series ( the freezer)? I’m new to it.
