Went to see this over the Bank Holiday and would highly recommend it to any Elton fans, a biopic of his early years. His rise to fame, the chance meeting with Bernie Taupin, the brilliance of their partnership, his descent into alcohol, drugs and his coming to terms with his sexuality. Taron Egerton, never seen him in anything before, was sublime as Elton, captured him so well another fantastic performance to rival that of Rami Malek 's, also outstanding as Freddie Mercury.

I was lucky enough to see Elton John in concert in his heyday, at Watford Football Stadium and The Fairfield Halls, on one of those occasions he was dressed as a Bumble Bee smile The costumes in the film evoked the memories of the showmanship he gave his audience at that time of his life.

Why do we enter the farce that is the Eurovision confused The Beatles, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Queen, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Led Zeppelin......etc. etc. etc.......we have nothing to prove, which may be one of the reasons why we often come last. Green Eyed Monsters hmm
