Watched this yesterday on Amazon Prime TV . What a briliant film. Prisoners in the 2nd WW held by the Japanese in a camp. Some of the hardships and torture they endured was heartbreaking.sad Who would think that humans could be so cruel. One thing struck me whilst watching. There was no reliance on special effects as in many newer films now adays, only really good acting by some well known actors. If you like a good story that is based on truth give this one a go.

My Stepfather was a POW with the Japanese. He was captured after the fall of Singapore aged 21. He never talked about it until after the death of my mother and his own impending death from cancer. These prisoners had a truly dreadful time as Japanese cruelty knew no bounds. Think IS and you will get the picture. Just shocking!
