Thank you for letting us know there will be a series 8 Marilla, phew! I read a while back that this present one was going to be the last, so glad that's not the case we need to know what's going to happen to Gilou now and will we see anything of Roban in his retirement?

I find myself going through phases with the different characters, liking or loathing a few of them. I never thought I would end up rooting for Gilou!

I love Spiral and I was very disappointed that the BBC didn't flag up its recent series with enough fan-fare for me as I missed the first evenings double bill and had to play catch-up.

Is this the end for Gilou? He was my favourite character along with Roban who retired.

I love the Paris setting, having visited a couple of times and hearing the French language.

Good news for Spiral fans! Series 8 has been filmed.
Phew! I thought the current series was the finale.

I am going to suggest the complete box set as my Christmas present, which will keep me going until the screening of the new series in 2020.
