I love Agatha Christie books and plays but last night offering The Curse of ???? Left me bored and I fell asleep. It was so slow and the background noises were weird and offputting. My dh felt exactly the same. What’s your opinions.

I watched this on catch up this morning. What annoyed me were the amount of as breaks. There seemed to be a break every six minutes.I
I enjoyed it, but didn't realise until I read the end credits, that Max Mallowan was Mrs Christie's second husband.

Yes the ad breaks drove us crazy too. Such a shame it wasn’t in BBC.

Having watched the programme about Agatha Christie which was on immediately before The Curse of Ishtar, it was obvious that the characterisation was way off. Apparently Agatha was very shy and she and Max became friends first before they married. That's not how things were portrayed in the play.

So I spent quite a bit of the time thinking 'She wouldn't have done that!'

I watched Bette Davis in " The Nanny " the other night. It kept me awake hahahaha. Sad or what ?

I thought it was awful and switched off after the ridiculous scene of Max collapsing and Agatha reversing the 4x4. Didn't bother watching the rest. I then went onto watch Miss Marple - Sleeping Murder with the wonderful and much missed Joan Hickson.

I gave it an hour, hoping that it would improve, but found it dreadfully dull. Switched over at 10 and watched Gogglebox instead (though I didn't think that was as good this week, either).

DH enjoyed it but I found it slow.

Bluebelle I too was very disappointed by Mousetrap. One of the worst things I've seen in a theatre
<ducks down>

Is there an "AC" to be screened over Christmas do we know? If so, I hope it is not totally changed as In the last two years.
