Anyone else watching?

Only just over 10 minutes in, quite challenging and thought provoking.

I’ve read the book and it was great.

Malorie Blackman used to be the Children’s Laureate.

I'm saving it for Saturday afternoon when DH will be watching sport.

Yes, but wasn't keen, turned it off after 30 mins.

Uncomfortable watching at times but worth it. I’ll be watching the next episode, Mr C will probably be reading his book.

i was a bit disappointed.
have not read the book, but aware of the overall idea, which sounded intriguing.
this tv adaptation looked so grim and grimy, i didn't really get hooked.
i felt the main point was not brought out enough.

Found myself looking at my phone towards the end and wishing it would hurry up and finish. Says it all really.

I watched it. Main problem was working out who everybody was, found that a bit confusing, will go with another episode. Not sure how many in the series?

Not my kind of thing. I prefer a good thriller or detective story really.

It's basically Romeo and Juliet isn't it?

It was interesting to see the story with a reversed situation
I found it a sad reflection on a divided society
Well see what transpires before I give a verdict

Do not see why an excellent book needed so much revision. The school that Callum was trying to get into, was a purely scholastic arena, not a military academy. And, the whole point was that Callum and Persephene had largely grown up together and were virtually like brother and sister for most of their childhood.
The scene (not in the book) with the fire-escape, is just a modern version of the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet.
Callum and Jude's sister seems to have disappeared in this verson also.
