Do not see why an excellent book needed so much revision. The school that Callum was trying to get into, was a purely scholastic arena, not a military academy. And, the whole point was that Callum and Persephene had largely grown up together and were virtually like brother and sister for most of their childhood.
The scene (not in the book) with the fire-escape, is just a modern version of the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet.
Callum and Jude's sister seems to have disappeared in this verson also.
