I only watch it for the costumes and settings. I think Julian Fellows is resting on his laurels with this. Good actors but nothing to get their teeth into. I accept the basis of the storyline but the lack of depth makes it feel like a penny novelette.
I agree with the stilted dialogue which I think the actors are finding difficult to express themselves with.
Yes of course I will continue watching it for something light and silly at the end of the weekend.
