Seeing as we're all staying in a little lot more, we'd imagine the telly is getting a fair amount of attention. If you want to chat about whatever you're watching while it's on (or the next day) please do check our Telly forum topic and join in if there's already a conversation running. If not, why not start one? There's almost certainly someone else on here who's watching alongside you and would love the opportunity to dissect the plot/suggest whodunnit/debate actor's suitability to role/just want to say they love or hate it. grin

Dreadful wasnt it shock
Watched Macca he should stick to writing really and then Stevie Wonder was on. Got a bit excited as we couldnt get tickets to see him live a few years back. Glad I didnt waste my money. Flipping heck what's wrong with these guys. You'd think their management would tell them wouldn't you?
Jess Glynne can hold a tune though.

Gave up and listened to Beatles with Guy Garvey and Philharmonic orchestra on radio 2.

You'll sleep well tonight then, Calli

Macca is the stuff of nightmares. grin

I caught some of the concert and enjoyed it (perhaps I’m just easily pleased). I thought the Stones and Lady Ga Ga were very good. She was great in A Star is Born. I’m glad I missed Macca though....

Callistemon Sun 19-Apr-20 23:24:27

Well, I missed Lang Lang
In fact I missed it all ...

merlotgran Sun 19-Apr-20 23:15:10

so I'll skip through it for the best bits

Um....grin

Eloethan Sun 19-Apr-20 23:10:53

I didn't watch the "concert". Just heard Lady Gaga singing part of "Smile" and thought it was ghastly.

Callistemon Sun 19-Apr-20 23:08:13

We recorded it so I'll skip through it for the best bits and skip the rest.

Callistemon Sun 19-Apr-20 23:07:23

I didn't realise that Lady GaGa looked like that and had such a pleasant voice.

I'm afraid I put it on silent soon afterwards, then Off.

We love Jay's quizzes Maggiemaybe and join as a family online on a Thursday night.
Watched Race Across the World and Killing Eve tonight.

merlotgran Sun 19-Apr-20 21:29:56

I was hoping for some uplifting music. Most of it was dirge after dirge after dirge. If you weren't already depressed by Lockdown, you sure as hell would be by the end of it. Good old Stones have still got it though.
Lang Lang made the most of his 'moment' in the best act of the whole thing.

Macca should give up and looking at some of the posh pads was he really singing from a pine kitchen? grin

rubysong Sun 19-Apr-20 21:11:32

We are watching the Lady Gaga home alone together thing. I wish someone would have a word with Paul McCartney and Tom Jones, is time they both retired. Paul McC was just embarrassing.
Also in the item about the couple having their 'virtual wedding day', DS2 and family, who are friends, were seen, very briefly.

Watched a Marple last night, ‘Murder is Easy’, voted most popular by viewers. Wish the Drama channel would show a batch of the Joan Hickson ones again.

Tonight it will be the Good Karma Hospital, and Belgravia, both last in series.

TerriBull Sun 19-Apr-20 08:32:20

Last night we watched the Norwegian drama "Twin" double episode, quite enjoying it, better than a lot of the Scandi stuff, with the exception of "The Killing", "The Bridge" and "Borgen" After an excellent start with those 3, find some of their exports pretty dismal. Then following on from that, because we didn't bother switching channels found ourselves watching a programme about old music hall stars, presented by Frank Skinner which was quite interesting.

Maggiemaybe Sun 19-Apr-20 08:16:31

We had a go at Jay Flynn’s YouTube quiz last night, then watched the two episodes of Twin.

Tonight it’ll just be Killing Eve. And possibly the recording of Belgravia after that.

Eloethan Sat 18-Apr-20 23:44:29

I've only watched the News in "real time" today. I watched a recording I'd made of The Bridges of Madison County. It was so sad.

Marmight Sat 18-Apr-20 23:11:26

Watching Sense of an Ending on BBC2

BBbevan Sat 18-Apr-20 20:18:46

Just found Noson Lawen on iplayer. Sadly you can’t get it in England. A special treat for the Welsh. DH loves it.

paddyanne Sat 18-Apr-20 20:14:29

Timothy West and Prunella Scales Great Canal Journeys, through Portugal .I've only ever been to the tourist areas so this is very interesting. We did have an exchange student from Lisbon for a few weeks ,years ago and we said we'd go visit him.Might head that way when CV is over

Marmight Fri 17-Apr-20 22:23:52

I just watched Pangolins. So sad ....beautiful creatures, illegally trafficked and near extinction

NotAGran55 Fri 17-Apr-20 21:22:11

MasterChef Final - I can’t believe the result sad

Pantglas2 Fri 17-Apr-20 18:09:27

Pangolins - BBC2 9pm

Kalu Fri 17-Apr-20 18:07:50

Oh I like the sound of that paddyanne off to do a search for it.

We watched an old Lewis last night. Knew we had seen it before but our memories have gone to the dogs and we were surprised at the ending?

Saw a clip today of an old Olivia de Havilland film that I like the look of. The Snakepit - a schizophrenic patient trying to recover he memory at a mental institution 1948.

paddyanne Fri 17-Apr-20 10:20:58

We've been watching Building Off Grid ,lots of cabins in the wilderness in North America ,we were absolutely enchanted by the mud houses built by a man called Sun ray Kelley ,proper hobbit houses but functional ,Worth googling his fabulous houses .Not that I would want to live deep in a forest or in Alaska but the ingenuity of the builders is amazing.Theres even an island built on plastic bottles complete with house and garden and all sorts of gadgets that need to be seen to be believed ,it has an engine so the owner can just sail away at whim

BBbevan Fri 17-Apr-20 06:48:42

Really disappointed, but I did read somewhere that he has been unwell. Hope he gets better soon. Good things are worth waiting for

Eloethan Thu 16-Apr-20 23:28:41

Apparently it was cancelled - Grayson Perry. I think it was supposed to be live or recorded week by week so I'm wondering if he is unwell. I was really looking forward to it.
