We are at last, starting to watch Last Tango in Halifax from the very beginning on IPlayer. The A word (2 series) is on there which I really enjoyed and all 9 series of Call the Midwife!.

I have watched all the series and Christmas specials of Outnumbered recently. It’s not only entertaining it’s great to see the three children growing up as the series progress.

We have just started to re-watch Wallander; beautifully shot, acted, great story lines. The first series has Tom Hiddleston as one of Wallander's team, he looks about 20!

I think Waking The Dead is also available, always one of my favourites. Trevor Eve is brilliant in it, as is Sue Johnston.

mumofmadboys I don't like violence on TV either, and wouldn't watch Line of Duty, for example, but Spooks is not more violent than Liar in my opinion. When I say it's not bedtime viewing, I just mean that the storylines are gripping rather than relaxing. You could always give one episode a try.

Thanks Sparklefizz. I don't really like violence on TV

tanith Don't they all look so young in the first series of Spooks? And Keelie Hawes is just beautiful.

mumofmadboys Spooks is quite stimulating and violent in places, so I wouldn't watch it at bedtime. Just saying .....

I have recently watched Liar on catch up and also saw the Flesh and Blood series. Can anyone recommend any other recent contemporary dramas that are on catch up. Thanks
