Ballet and theatre during lockdown.

Next Thursday National Theatre at Home on YouTube, are screening Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare. It starts at 7pm. I enjoyed Treasure Island this week.

Royal Opera/Royal Ballet doing Acis and Galatea (music by Handel). It's relatively short for an opera and has some amazing dancing (and singing) in it.

Some of the Theatres, Museums and concert halls here have instigated a system where if you have booked and paid for tickets you can fill in an online form if you do not need a refund, and the money will be used to supplement the money non-contract workers would be getting.
Ushers, security catering etc.
DGS and I have/had 5 events booked and I have happily donated the ticket money. I looked at it, if I could afford the ticket price in the first place then I do not need it back.

For my birthday last September I received a gift voucher for our local theatre. In October I used it towards a performance in April, but they cancelled the evening in January and after several emails and phone calls would only refund the balance leaving the gift voucher pending.

It is valid for a year so obviously at the moment I am not able to use it and time is going to run out. Do you think I am entitled to a refund?

I’ve missed two theatre bookings so far. I’m waiting for the vouchers to come through.
