We haven't watched it for years but we are enjoying tonight's programmes, showing winners from the past and contrasting how popularity in music has changed over the years.

Volare - could any song beat that?

Perhaps only my favourite, Johnny Logan singing 'What's Another Year'

Really enjoying it, especially seeing Johnny Logan ( I remember him winning with ‘what’s another year ) I was 17!grin

And agree with you on ‘ Volare’ - brilliant timeless song.

We normally avoid it these says, it just happened to be on.

ABBA, of course, I remember thinking that was great, but Johnny Logan is my all-time favourite. He won twice and wrote another winning song too.

I didn't realise he was born in Australia.

I had no idea that Volare was a Eurovision song. And I've always thought it was Polaree. I loved that little French song. Thoroughly enjoyed the night. As for the Cliff Richards and Franco stuff; well, you learn something every day.
