We caught the first episode of this new series, on catch up, the other night.

Ben Fogle first visited this family in New Zealand 7 years ago, and has now re-visited them in this remote and wild location.

Their two children had flown the nest, and the Longs can sometimes go for weeks without seeing another person.

I thought it was a beautiful programme and quite emotional at the end.

Yes I really enjoyed this, and agree it was really emotional at the end. Robert was so grateful that Ben had returned to visit again . What an isolated life they lead. However, it seems that following the first programme 7 years ago, they get messages from all around the world, which they obviously enjoy. They now have the landing strip and have visitors roughly every 7 weeks. More than me, just lately!!

I do wonder what will happen in the future as they get older, as it's a tough life. Amazing scenery. www.gorgeriver.org/index.html

If you look on Google maps, their cabin is marked at the mouth of the Gorge River.
Is that the smallest house to be marked on a map?

I also watched it and was touched when the father said he saw Ben as a son!
