Dame Diana Rigg has died at age of 82. From The Avengers to Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service to Game of Thrones, she had an incredible career #RIPDianaRigg

Enjoyed her cameo as Tricky Woo’s “mummy” in the new All Creatures Great and Small

I darent tell my OH. He's had a lifelong crush on her.

Stunning, wasn't she?

I thought I was her, when aged about 10. Loved The Avengers, and she was more recently in ‘ Extras’

Emma Peel was my favourite.

Diana was the only Bond girl to get 007 to the alter.

Wonderful career right up to the present day.

RIP Diana Rigg

Remember my sister and I going to see OHMSS, when she married James, and the dreadful moment when she was killed, shot I think.
We were devastated, poor James, how would he carry on without his beloved Tracy?

Pretty well as it happened, never seemed short of a girl friend.

Yes, Diana Rigg was a star, will be missed.

I saw an interview with a pop star recently, think it might have been Guy Garvie ,who said he and his family were doing lockdown with his MIL ...Diana Rigg.I dont watch Game of Thrones so didn't know she was still working .I haven't seen her in anything for decades .I do remember her in the Avengers and pracising the moves with my sisters to Dads horror. He thought girls should be quiet and gentle not ninjas..lol

I was really sad when I heard this earlier. I've always liked her. Firstly as Emma Peel and then in lots of different things. I loved her in Evil Under the Sun with Dame Maggie Smith. She also had a local connection to Stirling University and was well known there.

She was marvellous and how good that we are currently seeing her in All Creatures Great and Small.

The last thing I remember seeing her in was The Detectorists, a lovely, gentle humorous series.
She played the mother of her real life daughter Rachel Stirling.

Sad news. I have always liked her acting and thought she was very elegant.
Several years ago she was in a TV drama ( I can’t recall the name) where she played a domineering MIL and nearly drove her DIL mad. Her acting In that role was superb.

Oh what a shame, sorry to read this.
I last saw her in the TV series 'The Detectorists' with her daughter and McKenzie wotisname!

Just looked the BBC drama up, it was called Mother Love.

She was a wonderful actress, completely devoid of all the glitz and type that so many lesser actresses display. Someone of her calibre will be greatly missed.

I was just going to say - she has only just featured in an episode of All Creatures Great and Small!
She was a superb actress.

Loved her and always liked her acting. Saw her in all creatures great and small the other night. She was great in the Mrs Bradley mysteries. RIP.

Diana Rigg invested a lot of time and practical support when she was Chancellor of the University of Stirling.

Nortsat Thu 10-Sept-20 18:56:33

She was a real icon ... when I was a child and she played Emma Peel, I thought she was impossibly exciting.

My partner is with Illte’s partner here ... the lifelong crush ...

RIP Diana

Duana Rigg was very attractive in her 20s, but quite beautiful in her 80s.

Chardy Thu 10-Sept-20 19:03:19

Fat fingers! Diana

It is somehow unbelievable. I watched her in All Creatures Great and Small and thought how fantastically she had aged. Game of Thrones was my Lockdown occupation (late I know) but she was great in that. Not only a beautiful woman but a fantastic actor.RIP.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 11-Sept-20 11:59:54

Yes, RIP - I remember seeing her in The Avengers for which I was allowed to stay up late with my twin sister as a treat each Saturday evening. I so envied her sophistication, stylish clothing and her sports car.
