Mortimer and Whitehouse Gone Fishing

This is one of the best programs on tv at the moment, never really been into fishing although I have been ( a lovely peaceful day out if the weather is good)
These two are a joy to watch

I love it. It’s great fun. Paul Whitehouse is a consummate fisherman and Bob Mortimer is a hoot. They’re perfect together.

I find it so touching. Remembering them when they were young, and seeing how they have mellowed with age. They seem like such good friends.
And they get so excited about fish!

This is my weekly treat. They're a great combination. The scenery and music are lovely too. I love to see what Bob's cooked and where they're staying overnight.

Most enjoyable programme. I love their funny, and serious banter and they stay in such interesting accommodation.

What a wonderful relationship these two old friends have.
They stayed in a converted toilet block in Sheringham that I was desperate to buy! In it’s original state.
My DH was very firm in his refusal. I still regret it?

Wonderful programme, absolutely delightful. Beautiful scenery, great chat, very touching at times. Although I have to say I absolutely loathed the few times I went fishing with my ex, especially in a wee boat. On a riverbank wasn't quite so bad, at least I could go for a walk.

I came on specially to see if anyone else had viewed this. As someone said, a real gem of a programme! I watched all the episodes today and yes, I was hooked Damp eyes when I heard Thank You For Being A Friend playing at the end.

Watched this last night after downloading the first programme. Watched it with daughter and OH and we were all laughing out loud. Thank goodness I’ve found something else we all enjoy! Looking forward to watching all the other series.

Good news today is that a fourth series is to be made.

Good news! Having covered all the various fishing disciplines in the previous series’, I’m looking forward to seeing how they carry it forward, but the fishing is really just an adjunct to their supreme comedic skills. Bob Mortimer is becoming quite a seasoned angler now though. Love it!

Yes , they used The Proclaimers ' After You've Gone ' in memory of a show's participant . Made me cry - I'd never heard the song before , might pencil it in for after I've gone ....
