We need all the help we can get to stop the ecological degradation and subsequent climate damage.

High profile personalities are welcome as far as I am concerned.

Yes I do agree about grouse shooting and the environmental damage it does, doesn’t sit well with his call, but neither does eating meat, or driving cars or using plastic, or even eating sea bass according to the paper this morning.

Every single one of us is complicit in what has happened to our planet.

Oh what is wrong with eating Sea Bass, we buy it straight from the boat (AC does and brings it to us)?

Most Sea Bass is farmed these days like Salmon apparently some don’t like that, large quantities of non food fish species are caught to feed farmed fish.

Thank you Davidhs we live close to Leigh-on-Sea, were there are still fishing boats going out most days. We are used to having what they have caught fresh from the sea.

Its very easy to point the finger of hypocrite to any high profile figure, even Greta Thurnberg got it in the neck for travelling on a train. Anyone who adds to the message that there is a climate emergency, loss of species and destruction of the oceans, gets approval from me. Its almost impossible to live a perfect life with no impact on the environment, what we should individually and collectively aim for is to do the least harm possible. We should listen to the message not pick holes in the messenger.

Yes its too easy to get bogged down in petty divisive arguments!

If William making this program helps bring awareness then it's a good thing but, like others have said, it doesn't sit well with him also enjoying killing animals for pleasure. I eat very little meat and only choose British free range when I do but, in my heart, I know I shouldn't be eating another creature whose life was taken early to feed me.

Then don't do it!! I do eat meat quite happily but I do buy free range. I too would much rather eat a bird/animal that has been living freely and, in the case of birds, shot causing instant death, than some poor factory farmed chicken/creature, that's lived a miserable life and slaughtered, often with extreme cruelty!

Has William said he enjoys killing animals for pleasure ?

I try to buy free range meat and yes, would choose grouse or pheasant etc over a factory farmed chicken. I would not buy the chicken knowingly.

No-one is absolutely perfect and, if they said they were, no-one would listen anyway!

Perhaps he could start by educating his in-laws and suggesting they make all the products their company is currently polluting the planet with, environmentally friendly. Things like single use plastic table cloths. Meantime he should keep his mouth shut. Clean up your own back yard before you start telling your neighbours what to do.

Apparently it is one if the main sources of food for dolphins and they are running out.

I don’t want dolphins starving to death on my conscience along with everything else.

If someone is willing to use their high profile to speak about our earth and saves one elephant or orang-utan as a result I will consider it worthwhile.

It's no use saving one elephant if the whole planet is going to be uninhabitable. Our planet needs more than that. It needs big consumers like William & family to change.

support it manually and financially, I wish I could share photographs I have

No idea Anniebach didn't watch him. However their website makes no mention of environmentally friendly products or anything about recycling- which you would expect if he is so keen on saving the planet wouldn't you?

So as individuals we are now responsible for what our in-laws do, that could be very interesting .

Aren’t we all trying to do our bit, but we should recognise that we all hold the blame.

It is no good saying “not me gov’ it’s him or her”. Yes of course they are big consumers, and will hopefully change their ways, but at least they are big consumers with a conscience.

Don’t misunderstand me, I am a republican, so have no agenda behind my support for the Windsor message.

I find myself increasingly thinking, thank goodness for William and Catherine.

The more I read about the other petulant twosome languishing away in California, the more sure I am that the future of the Royal family is in safe hands with W and C.

William seems to have the knack of putting his point across without sounding as if he is lecturing us.

I have no problem at all with him shooting game in a humane manner.

Sea Bas is being overfished and as such should be avoided, even if fresh off the boat. It’s due to the giant nets used by the industrial trawlers.

Agree wholeheartedly with Sparklefizz, Gwyneth and JenniferEccles. Think this (in spite of valid issues expressed around pheasant shoots etc.)was overall an excellent and thoughtful programme which raises awareness of important environmental issues, and better still encourages young people to believe that they too can make a difference.

I am recommending it to my primary school teacher daughter and daughter in law who is a vet and already interested in animal welfare issues worldwide. Both may be in a good position to be able to share the stories and pick up and spread the messages.

We none of us get it all right 100% of the time; but good for William and Catherine for trying.

But if that conscience only involves certain areas, ie ones which don't impact on our own lives then it isn't really much use is it? And if William doesn't feel he can tackle his in-laws (really trying to imagine they don't bow and scrape to all the RF) maybe Kate should tell her family. There are a lot of people offering environmentally party products. The Middletons are also selling helium for balloons. Of course William Kate are jumping on the bandwagon They got to do something to keep the family relevant, so on with the topical environmental issues. After Andrew took advantage of all the advantages he has, above the law unaccountable, get away with dubious dealings as trade envoy don't mention Epstein. Then Harry and Meghan leaving, (William had a word with uncle Spencer to ask Harry not to rush into marriage) he was protecting the firm, who says there was no racism. Now if William goes shooting and all family get driven around by all transport at their disposal helicopters is their preference. How much of the environment are they saving? And by the way all transport freely available to them for their own private interests spending public money daily? William had everything done laid out easy so gave good performance. Greta is the champion of the environment Schools teach and nature walks Attenborough Corbyn classed it as an emergency when leader We all try to do our bit I am sure.
