I think Jamie may go as he was in the bottom 2 last week. Katya and Nicola are doing some good energetic dances, but want to see how she does in a softer, slower dance like the Waltz, and a difficult one like the Samba. Unsure how good a dancer she is yet. Love her positive attitude to it all.
Has anyone else noticed that Katya is now acting more masculine since being paired with Nicola? I imagined she would still be playing the feminine part, but their partnership is more like 2 young men dancing together, and last night they both took the guys' roles in "Grease".
I am perfectly happy for 2 women to dance together but don't see why Katya has to change.
I'm enjoying Strictly, especially Bill and Ranvir but I'm another who isn't bothered about mums and nans being trotted out. I'm also over the phrases, "I just want to make mum/nan/children proud of me" and "I didn't want to let X down". Are people not proud of family members if they don't appear on television?
I agree but I think Jason Bell is more popular tan Caroline.
My problem is recognizing so few, Caroline, Ranvir and Bill Bailey. I have never seen or heard of any of the youngsters but I do not get out much in normal circumstances.
It is not a fair playing field- Caroline cannot move as well as Maisie who is a youngster in comparison.
CQ - oh dear I always liked her acting but she is a proper luvvie- didn't enjoy her dance she does need to give it more welly especially re the character she was supposed to be. Love Ranvir so graceful and elegant. I dont know his name but the chap who was a gnome - fancy making him dress in that ridiculous costume and give him such awful music - hats off to him for giving it a go. Love Bill - not the best dancer but what a character.
Just taken another look at this thread. Surprised no one has added more comments this morning. Perhaps more of us are starting to feel, in another poster’s words, that maybe we are growing out of Strictly?
I agree. Nans, Mums, etc are boring for the audience. I usually go off and feed the cat, put the kettle on, or whatever in the rubbish bits, and rush back for the dancing.
Yes - cut all those silly in between bits, please. It makes the programme far too long. What’s come over Craig - he’s being much nicer than usual. I’m sitting here with knitted eyebrows at some of the stuff he’s said tonight - especially when he says that Bill Bailey could be in the final. I don’t think so!
