Gosh this new thriller is good so far - episode 2 last night. Hugh Grant really seems to be coming into his own as an actor i recent years and it is good to NK with with her lovely naturally curly hair left to its own devices (mostly!).

Pity it's only on Sky.

Anyone else watching it?

I’m confused now!

I think you are right Lisa. I was being dense.

Atqui Wed 02-Dec-20 18:19:05

Did the blonde woman tell the prosecution about Jonathan’s narcissism?
Agree about Nicole Kidman- she is 53 and looks about 20

Just an example of how you don't have to have surgery to stay in the industry. You do however have to be prepared to accept roles where you don't always look your best and not be just a pretty face .

I wish we could get it - sounds brilliant. If only to see Donald Sutherland.
He's only a year older than me - never forget his part as Hawkeye in Mash. Elliott Gould as Trapper.

Yes, Atqui, the blonde friend mentioned the husband’s lack of remorse / narcissism, etc to the prosecution after being asked to by the wife when they went for an early morning walk together

Two of my favorite Sutherland characters:

Mr Bennet in Pride and Prejudice and Oddball in Kelly's Heroes- ?

Donald Sutherland was great. Fantastic part when he berated the headmaster of his grandson's school.
I loved him in Don't Look Now

Lisagran

I found the ending a big disappointment. Won’t spoil it for anyone still to watch it, but, for me, the last episode didn’t live up to the intrigue and drama presented in the previous episodes.

I too was disappointed after all the red herrings but I think that was the point, we're used to intricate endings, the one who was up the Amazon when the deed was done is usually the guilty party.

Terry Wogan said that the biggest star was always the Murderer, that’s why we wavered about who did it! So many stars in it.

We just got a week’s free trial of Now tv and will be watching this Before the week is up.

Lisagran Fri 04-Dec-20 13:05:03

Enjoy, Jane43!

Turned off after the full frontal in the first episode!

Lisagran Fri 04-Dec-20 14:49:04

Why?

rosecarmel Fri 04-Dec-20 22:27:09

smile

Who was starkers in Episode 1?! I must have been 'eyes down' at my knitting at the time ...grin

trisher Sat 05-Dec-20 15:49:42

fevertree The murder victim. In the locker room, at the gym, with the wife. I'd check the pattern you might have dropped a few stitches! (It was quite full frontal) grin

kittylester Sat 05-Dec-20 16:04:25

I dont remember that - must be getting past it!!!

Lisagran Sat 05-Dec-20 16:35:50

But she was a very beautiful young woman - and it was part of the storyline - she was “showing herself” to her lover’s wife. It wasn’t gratuitous.

fevertree Sat 05-Dec-20 16:59:54

Oh I remember that now! I hastily averted my eyes.

If I had been Nicole Kidman, I'd have stood up, fast!

fevertree Sat 05-Dec-20 17:06:25

Not that I mind nudity BTW ... but walking right up to your lover's wife when she is sitting down and you're in the nude, is aggressive in a way.

rosecarmel Sat 05-Dec-20 17:34:11

I thought it equally as beautiful that Nicole Kidman's character didnt much mention to anyone, if at all, the intensity of the gazes, the gym and what took place in the elevator .. smile

Namsnanny Sun 06-Dec-20 10:59:10

rosecarmel She did tell Johnathan (Hugh Grant) though, which I suppose was the reason for being so provocative.
That and showing off her power
(Sexual attraction) over the husband

trisher Sun 06-Dec-20 11:28:32

I just wondered if it was a normal thing in posh peoples' gyms- no one else seemed to even glance at her. Now if you did that in our local swimming pool (You can't anyway they have now banned women stripping their cossies off in the showers!)
