Turning to chat show hosts, another big thumbs up for Graham Norton from me, I really like him.

Many moons ago, when he was a relatively young man I confess to liking Jonathan Ross I thought he was sharp and witty and then as time went on and he got his own chat show, he increasingly got on my nerves with his salacious comments to his female guests and the fact that he would continually interrupt whoever he was interviewing and talk about himself, his own domestic set up, his children, his animals. I stopped watching him in the end, because I really wanted him to shut up and listen to whoever he was talking to.

I was never a fan of Michael Parkinson either, there was something about the the way he interviewed some women, not all, that I didn't like, I know he's supposed to be the definitive chat show host, but not for me, that would be Graham, but these days I'm not drawn to listening to that genre of programme.

I like Chris Mason political correspondent who has a good sense of fun.

Lise Doucet who fearlessly reports from troubled areas of the world.

Chris Packham for his knowledge and love of wildlife.

Tim someone from Bargain Hunt for his wacky hair, enthusiasm and I do like slim men, including MrNanKate. ?

I really like Andrea McLean on Loose Women - although I haven't watched the programme for months.

Cant stand Jeremy Vine ,he's a rude man and not as informed as he should be on subjects that are up for discussion.Lorraine Kelly comes across as very false to me ,all fake smiles and jollity .I like Alexander Armstrong seems sincere and not egotistical and I love Graham Norton he seems to get the best out of his guests without being intrusive .

I like Kaye Adams as a tv and radio presenter but her talents are wasted on Loose Women.

I like Matt Tebutt on Saturday Kitchen Live. He can talk, cook and interview guests all at the same time. He appears very relaxed on live tv and always brings humour to the show. I think he’s a great all rounder.

Yes, he interrupts, and is also often rude to callers who are clearly nervous and unsure how to behave on TV, so have their TV on or noises in the background.

I know he has limited time and sometimes callers go on a bit (saying hello to everyone and so on), but he is often quite disrespectful to people who will probably be being heard by friends and family. To them it is a moment of 'fame', and I think it's unkind of him to behave like that.

I find Jeremy Vine intensely annoying; he has a tendency to interrupt people he is interviewing and does not listen with any interest to their replies. I find him rather opinionated and without insight.
I do agree with other posters that Bradley Walsh and Dara O’Briein are pleasant, personable and perceptive. I also think Alexander Armstrong and Rob Brydon are good.

Jeremy Vine can't go half an hour without mentioning his age and categorising people into 'Boomers', 'Millennials' and so on - it drives me mad. I also think he lost credibility as a 'people's presenter' when it was revealed that he earns £750k a year. How can he possibly relate to people on benefits, or understand how it is to live on a pension or work for minimum wage? He'd be ok on a political programme, or any straight journalism, but I think he's completely inappropriate for the sort of show he presents.

I'm not keen on any of the Loose Women in the context of that show, but I think a lot of that is the show itself. I wouldn't like Colleen, Andrea or Denise in anything, though. Janet S-P is still sharp as a knife, and it would be good to see an older woman present something more challenging than LW, and Kay is ok, too.

Does Angela Epstein count as a presenter? She makes me shout at the TV when she's on Jeremy Vine. I can't bear the 'jokes' and attempts at flirtatious banter - she's like an embarrassing aunt at a family get together.

Dara O’Briain. Angus Deayton was superb.

But the minute I see Paul Merton, I have to switch off. His overpowering self awareness is excruciatingly embarrassing.

Like you harris27 I find Jeremy vine annoying ,he discusses same things from tv to his radio show . I like Gethin Jones he seems very relaxed in front of the camera . Can't stand Holly and Phil or And and Dec they all get too much exposure .

I like Charlie on bbc breakfast news can’t take to naga though. Lorraine drives me mad with her constant telling everyone their fab. I like Ruth.

I can’t take to Naga either, but I like the rest of the Breakfast team, Jeremy Vine is irritating now, too much exposure?

I think Mary Nightingale is superb. I avoid Naga so annoying and Loose Women lot are just embarrassing now.

Piers Morgan, Jeremy Vine, Jo Coburn and the Channel 4 news team. I never shout at any of them.

I agree with you about Lorraine - too twee for words. Not sure she's like that when the cameras stop. Just a feeling........

I'm sure Lorraine is very nice. Better to be nice than critical (like me).

I found myself shouting at Lorraine this morning. She was being her usual sycophantic self. Her constant patter of 'Oh you're marvellous, you're so brave, you're fantastic, what a wonderful thing you've done, you're a national treasure, I can't believe you've done that, you're amazing' drives me up the wall. I think lockdown is getting to me.

I rarely watch TV so I have little idea about who most of the presenters are, but in the early 90s and again 10 years ago my path crossed with that of Richard Madeley and on both occasions he showed himself to be a very sensitive and kindly man.

Many years ago, Richard and Judy did an afternoon programme, I did like them as presenters, particularly when they introduced a book club as one of their regular features. Richard was a bit floppy haired and a tad too good to be true, but I liked Judy very much. I think at least presenters like them had some journalistic background and therefore far more gravitas than some of today's lightweights. I don't watch morning tv, I particularly can't stand Holly and Phil.

At one time I did like Naga, I don't watch her much these days, I find her habit of going off piste and having folksy conversations with Carol the weather woman for example, as if it's just the two of them in a room together, without the eyes and ears of the nation waiting for whatever it was they are supposed to deliver really annoying, and somewhat disingenuous. There is a "I'm your mate sharing a coffee whilst sitting in your kitchen only interested in fatuous nonsense like the colour of your dress, and not a highly paid broadcaster paid a fortune to front an early morning news programme.

I quite like Jo Coburn who presents the BBC2 politics show. I'm sure I'll think of someone else after I've posted this.

I have a guilty pleasure that is watching anything Gethin Jones is on and most mornings begin with viewing his new programme “Morning Live” (co-hosted with Kim Marsh).
There was an item about his 11 year old nephew Alby who is on the autistic spectrum, and how he recently took park in a Zoom theatre session as he was a bit marooned at home since Covid has closed things down and not seeing many people. Alby’s name was used during the play and he was invited to join in with shouting out things and doing actions.
The young lad was a little bit unsure at first but Gethin joined in too and by the end of it they were both engaged with the actors.
It looked very therapeutic for Alby and Gethin looked so proud of his nephew. It was a beautiful piece of filming and my admiration for Gethin grew just that little bit more.

Sean Fletcher for me, always so very pleasant and natural. Yes I like Ruth too, she and Eamon are quite natural but I do think he oversteps the mark occasionally and the banter turns to bicker.

I love Owain the weather guy on BBC. I hope he gets his own show , he, seems very nice and kind

I like three of the BBC Breakfast Show presenters: Louise, Dan and Charlie but I’m not keen on Naga. I also like Angela Rippon on a programme called Rip Off Britain and Emily Maitlis on News Night.

My favourite is Derek Brockway, who’s the weatherman on BBC Wales, he also does a series called Weatherman Walking - he’s a natural.
