I loved the Black Beauty tv series and remember galloping around the garden singing the theme tune! Also enjoyed Follyfoot, The Sullivans and The Cedar Tree.

Prudence Kitten. (no one ever remembers her)
Muffin the Mule; I was distraught when Annette Mills died.
I remember Frazer Hines as Jan in The Silver Sword, 1957.

And finally coming in at No. 3 would be the famous ‘Mr. Ed’ and Wilbur.

“A horse is a horse, of course of course
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.”
? ?

He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.

He's always on a steady course.

Talk to Mr. Ed.

Some of you are very young - my children loved many of these.

Robin Hood and The Lone Ranger.
I also loved one which ran for a short time called Queen's Champion in 1958. Frazer Hines was in it and I recognised him when Emmerdale began.

And my second best would have to be the gorgeous Clint walker as Cheyenne Bodie. At the age of 10y I think I fell in love with him. Strong, kind and gentle he roamed the West in the days after the US civil war.

When I'm having a cleaning spree (which isn't very often) my DH calls me Mrs Scrubbit. She was the cleaner in The Woodentops.

What a lovely thread.
Every time I see a programme I like mentioned, I start singing the theme song.

Picture Book was my favourite from Watch With Mother.

The Man from UNCLE when I was older and could enjoy swooning over Ilya Kuryakin!

We didn't have a TV until I was 15 but I enjoyed Charlie Chaplin at Saturday morning kids cinema. When I had my own children, we liked Magic Roundabout and Tom and Jerry. Still love the latter.

I didn’t like Picture Book ( Mondays) or Rag, Tag, and Bobtail ( Thursdays) Later I liked Ivanhoe and Sir Lancelot, Lassie, Dr. Kildare, then Ben Casey.
I don’t remember many children’s programmes in the 50s.
