Recommended it to everyone. Even our American friends in Florida, who loved it.

Such a lovely film, found that at the end my face seemed to have sprung a leak confused

Oh, how I agree, Ealdemodor, seeing a film at the cinema is such a different experience, isn’t it?

Also, how I would have loved to see it at the cinema - one of the things I miss the most.

Great film!
And, if we ever get normal life back, I can recommend a visit to Sutton Hoo, which is just amazing.

I watched this a couple of days ago, and loved it. It is one of those films I could easily watch again.

What a lovely gentle film, beautifully shot and lovely acting.

Watched part of it last night and hoping to catch up today. I agree that it is gentle and interesting and makes a wonderful change from some of the in-your-face films that are around. But the nit is British! smile

I really enjoyed The Dig - beautiful filming. Bit sad to read in reviews that they’d diminished the role of the female archaeologist, Peggy, making her out to be ‘bumbling’, when apparently in reality she was very capable. They also had a young male photographer, whereas it had originally been two women. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be artistic license in films, but it seems a shame not to celebrate women’s achievements in those early days. Good film though.

Also really enjoyed this. Good cast, a true story and not a murder in sight.

Witzend - currently watching Spiral, only on series 1 though, got quite a bit to go.

I enjoyed it too . Looking forward to reading the book now written by Peggy’s nephew.

It’s definitely on our list - once we’ve finished the box set of Spiral series 1-6, which I gave to dh for Christmas. Looking forward to it.

Watched this on Netflix last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good cast and no swearing smile. Recommend.
