Great Pottery Throwdown

Sal decorated her pots to reflect her Cornish life so she did put something of herself into her work
She did indeed but such a silly Billy to add that silly top she either didn’t think enough or thought it wouldn’t matter but it did look like an ordinary vase as opposed to the brief

I was amazed at how well they all did at making the round bottle for the second challenge. Some were too small and some didn't have a good profile when cut, but what a difficult shape to make.
Also thought all the pots had lovely designs.

Shame as she was very talented. I would love to have a bash at pottery but as I do not have creative bone in my body, having a bash probably sums it up!.

I did it for a few months in the days when colleges used to do evening classes, sadly all gone in my area now, I absolutely loved it and would love another go
I wasn’t terrible but a definite beginner

I’m sure you’d be very good BlueBelle, I know you’re very artistic having seen your lovely painted beach pebbles a few years ago.

Right, seen it now and still enjoyed it. It was so obvious who would be going once you knew.

So who will go out this week ?

Hard to tell. It's such a weird thing they have to make though

It will be interesting to see it finished, wonder if they have to do the plumbing too?

They always do one like this, didn’t they do toilets that had to flush properly last time
I like the look of the dragonfly one and the suitcase looks good

I hadn't realised that Bluebelle as this is the first series I've watched.

Loved Adams basin the colours on the pedestal are beautiful
Keith raved about peters but I didn’t like it at all

I did like Peter’s, although his chamber pot was not good. I think it was the right decision for the weakest overall.

I thought Peter's was heavy looking. It didn't do it for me. I liked Adam's.

The right person went home this week. I liked Adam's basin and Peter has improved so much over the series. I can't pick a winner.

I felt for Hannah, her kiln disaster meant she knew she was in trouble. The judges were very complimentary about her decorating skills though.

Happy that Adam won. Loved this chamber pot. Think he might win.

Really liked Peter's suitcases. Brilliant idea.

So sad to see one go each week. Keith and Rich are excellent with their feedback.

Good decision

Although Peter has improved I don’t think he has as much talent as the other two He’s done well I liked his suitcase idea but I think it looked better on paper it was overly heavy and chunky looking for my taste

Adams's sink was beautiful but very impractical and hard to clean. He deserved to win potter of the week of course.

Artistic rather than useful maybe.

I do agree that Adam was a clear winner last night. The basin was beautiful and the base really lovely, my only small criticism would be that they looked like two different pieces, a little bit of shell at the top of the mermaid tail or a little of the mermaid tail running in to the basin would have seemed more of a complete piece.
I really wasn’t keen on the suitcase idea although it was well executed on the whole.
I think Jody did play safe but got away with it, her back tattoo photo was lovely although I’m not a tattoo fan.
Poor Hannah, the disaster in the kiln threw her but she did her best to pull it back. I particularly liked her chamber pot and didn’t agree that it was under decorated, but I’m no expert.
I do love the programme, it’s sad that it’s coming to a close so soon. Like a good book, you want to know how it ends but are sad when it’s finished.

Easy decision for the judges last night. I was pleased to see Adam finally get Potter of the Week as he has come close quite a few times. Art Deco for the final, a la Clarice Cliff. That might suit Adam and Jodie more than Peter. I shall miss this when it finishes next week.

I’ve thought from the beginning that she would win, she was the most consistent throughout. They were a very good bunch this year though weren’t they, some beautiful creations.

I too am pleased that Jodie won. Her punch bowl, cups and decanters were fabulous.
Loved this series, what will I watch next week?
