Just watched first episode.

Looks promising.

Guessed the necklace would feature prominently in the storyline.

I do hope it’s explained in words of one syllable. I’m getting very confused ? although I’m really enjoying it.

Jaxjacky Sun 07-Mar-21 22:10:58

Calendargirl he’s a nasty piece of work indeed! I don’t know...so it’s good, last one next week.

Shandy57 Sun 07-Mar-21 22:10:39

I'm wondering if his Dad was.

Calendargirl Sun 07-Mar-21 22:05:16

So, is James Nesbitt Goliath?

He seems a nasty piece of work.

I thought the dead priest was the doctor's brother.

No, her father apparently.

I thought the dead priest was the doctor's brother.

The woman who followed the kidnapped bloke (Paddy? Pat?) and was in his car. I was wondering if it was the doctor in a dark wig?

maddyone. ??

Urmstongran Mon 01-Mar-21 19:06:53

Yes, what woman in the cafe Jax?

Urmstongran Mon 01-Mar-21 19:05:51

Well spotted tanith!

Calendargirl Mon 01-Mar-21 18:55:37

was she the woman in the cafe, I wonder?

Which woman in the cafe?

confused

maddyone Mon 01-Mar-21 18:35:50

I now know why I was confused. Having visited with my mother (support bubble) I now realise that last night’s episode was the second in the series. No wonder I was confused. I thought it was episode one confused

Is this was mumsnet we could have a poll - AIBU to believe his wife, the spook, is alive?
I think she may be _ But if she feared her husband would kill her, how come she left her little girl with a mass murderer?!

Jaxjacky Mon 01-Mar-21 18:18:19

Another two here don’t think his wife is dead, was she the woman in the cafe I wonder. DH keeps up a running commentary of various places he knows!

Lillie Mon 01-Mar-21 18:08:22

It is shaping up to be a good story. I don't hink his wife is dead either.

Coolgran65 Mon 01-Mar-21 17:09:11

I love it and love Jimmy Nesbitt. He comes from just tup the road from me and we speak the same language. No problem with accents.
Yes, last night’s episode was a shock.

Atqui Mon 01-Mar-21 16:50:10

Calendargirl. I have to admit that was my thought- can’t have been an RC priest. How naive am I?

tanith Mon 01-Mar-21 15:31:47

It was a shock but I did notice he pocketed the gun that the guy they chased dropped so maybe he’s out to frame someone.

Urmstongran Mon 01-Mar-21 15:23:00

Well I didn’t see that coming! I don’t think his wife (ex spook) is dead.

felice Mon 01-Mar-21 15:20:26

I am really enjoying it, and actually gasped out loud last night.
The dog had decided to stay down here and shot of the chair when I reacted.
Looking forward to the rest.

Not unknown for priests to father children Calendargirl.

Oh no! I’m such an innocent!

Hmm, thinking of Father Ralph in The Thorn Birds though.....

Nana3 Mon 01-Mar-21 14:36:48

Trisher ?

Soozikinzi Mon 01-Mar-21 14:22:52

We also use that den of geek! It’s very useful for complicated plot lines . We thought episode 2 was brilliant really enjoyed it . The accents are very accurate I think most of the actors used are from N.I. Best thing we’ve watched in ages !

Atqui Mon 01-Mar-21 14:08:00

Just discovered Denofgeek , which reviews dramas.I usually look at the Guardian review but that hasn’t caught up yet. It’s a useful read if you think you may have missed something in the plot!

We are on the edge of our collective chairs though and will be by our TVs next Sunday evening. It is quite exciting having to wait after endless binge watching during lockdown
