Looking forward to tonight's final. Have warned family members not to phone me between 9 and 10 unless dire emergency ! DS has a habit of phoning for a chat when he goes for his regular nightly walk - might ring him now in case he hasn't paid attention to timing ! Don't think Rebecca will win but who knows ? Should be some great outfits.

I'll be happy for whoever wins tonight. It has been a good series with mostly very skilled contestants. If Serena's precision can be joined with stunning creativity, she would be a very worthy winner, but then, either of the others could turn up trumps.
I don't know what will follow the Sewing Bee on Wednesday nights, but am getting irritated by the 'Great British' tag being applied to all sorts of skills, some of which are less than enthralling. I had a look at the photography competition and found it deeply boring! The Professional Bake Off on Channel 4 reaches incredible heights (depths?) of absurdity as the contestants try to make stories with their confections, though it can be me more interesting when one of them collapses spectacularly!

I agree Ellianne he has the creative edge on her although hers was a perfect replica. His was so original. (The Dior project)
I don't think Rebecca can win now. Esme has already made her mind up.

Serena and Raph are neck and neck. Serena has become more creative as the series has progressed and I am looking forward to next week’s show.

It's between Raph and Serena, but it's Raph for me in terms of his unique designs.

Yes. I thought that as well, but it hasn't stopped her getting through to the Final.

I could never work out why Farie, never grasped the principles of time managment. If I knew this was a problem. I would have been practicing at and setting timetables, anything, to try and get garments done.

She was otherwise such a good sewer. My money is on Raf, he has that certain creativity that Serena sometimes lacks. On the other hand, she is just such a good sewer. But then Rebecca, might be the dark horse who suddenly gallops past when the winningline is in sight.

Esme wouldn't like the blanket I'm crocheting - autumn moorland colours!

Yes, I thought so too, Callistemon. In fact I liked it best out of the transformations.

I think the garment of the week decision was the right one and will have boosted Serena's confidence.

Rebecca's transformation challenge was better than the wedding dress made by Raph (imo); the pleated front of the bodice was interesting but not mentioned. It seemed unfair of Esme to mark it down seemingly because she didn't like the colour.

Next week should be interesting.

I agree about those two grannyactivist - they have different strengths and you just don't know which will matter most on the day. Sad to see anyone leave even more today but it was the right choice. There was one point - the final trousers - where I could hardly watch.

So happy for the three finalists. I think it’s a hair to choose between Raph and Serena to win, but Rebecca may just come through with something exceptional on the night.
