The smug smile that is.

I didn’t watch it. I am not talking about the wedding but I do find Meghan looking smug and smirking rather than smiling, like the cat that has the cream. I looked at photos of her from several years previously and she has a much mor natural lovely smile. It’s her current ‘smile’ that put me off watching tbh. Yes, she probably has every right to look smug having landed her Prince and the life she has dreamt of. I just can’t stomach it.

Completely irrelevant but I thought perfect storm was such a nerve wracking film.

There was no mention of race before that disgraceful rant. Nor was there a comment quoting another thread. There most certainly wasn’t a racist comment by Alegrias.

There's a scene in the film "Perfect Storm", I wonder if anybody remembers it. Two of the fishermen are lost at sea and the storm is raging. Suddenly, there is a small gap in the dark storm clouds and they think everything's going to be OK, but then the clouds close up again and all is lost, the storm rages on.

Why do they seem intent on bringing their families down? Everything is about money and their truth. Keep it to themselves, whatever they do involves the family Harry came from, the one he despises. I do not like this airing of everything from one perspective, it is degrading but sells book, keeps the purses full. Two people estranged from everyone in their families, only their truth is right it appears. Their show buz friends are their family now. Harry looks very haunted to me, his sparkle has gone now he has markle.

Didn’t any of you smile at yours? From I have seen - and I try not to get my news from the tabloids - H and M seem a well suited couple and it’s a great shame they felt they had to leave, mainly due to the tabloids. They are the RF’s loss as once they had settled in they would have been brilliant. Far enough away from the succession to be more outspoken than the Cambridge’s, but close enough to be taken seriously.

All the people making and justifying the comments about Meghan's race, saying she brings it on herself.

We were having a rather dopey but entertaining thread about smiling brides, when one person decided to have a mini-rant, out of nowhere, concerning Meghan's race, when there was no mention of it anywhere else on the thread. I think it would be useful for people to consider how their minds work if the thing that is always in their minds about Meghan is the colour of her skin.

What M0nica says is true....Meghan could have been from any background/culture, it was the way that she has behaved, as if she was acting in Dallas or similar, rather than anything else, then later convincing Harry to leave the RF and go to LA, always the plan I suspect, Canada was just a diversion.
It got worse with the tell all victimhood ( boo hoo!) and now there will be four tell all books, the first to come out next year (just in time for the Queen’s platinum celebrations....timing is all!)

I did not know who had made the original remark, as I said I had just come to the thread and based my comment on something someone posted quoting another post whose origin I did not know. I assume it was yours Alegrias, which I did not know at the time.

But generally, there are a lot of people now who are incompetent, unpleasant or opportunistic, that as soon as you criticise them take refuge from criticism by claiming classic victim status by saying the remarks are racist, or anti-women or some such and it is such a cheap defense and does so much damage to those who are genuinely being discriminated against because of their race, sex or gender or other unjustified reason.

As for whether anyone smiled or not walking down the aisle, I do not know because I didn't see any tv footage of the marriage of H &M. Not my kind of viewing.

I am late to this thread, I smiled, giggled and acknowledged friends and family as I walked down the aisle with my beloved Father.
DH and I laughed our heads off as we walked back as a ^married couple^

As did many people I expect but apparently it’s wrong if you’re Meghan.
