Oh I'm sorry Shandy that sounds really hard x

I am so looking forward to this, I used to love the last series. I come with a bit of background these days, my husband has been gardener for LLB for the past 7 or 8 years and he & his family are so nice. There are always cups of tea, lunch, a nice xmas card & pressie from Fortnum & Masons. LLB does get asked to talk on other programmes on family matters etc & he always speaks sense. I guess you have to be a bit different if you're a telly designer & the law of averages says not everyone will like everything

JaneJudge very sadly I couldn't afford to stay there once my husband died. I managed to sell at auction last May and had enough to buy a small bungalow. I recently applied for a Sophie Robinson makeover and was rejected for that too!

Roseflower5, I'd wait till applications are open again for Your House Made Perfect. You've to pay for all the changes yourself, but the designers do a great job, imho.

I'd actually pay good money to keep Llewelly-Bowen well away from my house.

I recall an LLB creation, might have been on a houseboat, where it was done out in black, red and white. Startling!

Do you remember the one with tea towels nailed to the bathroom walls as curtains?? And still wet paint / tastelessness awash!

Classic!! Fab idea along the lines of "here's one we ruined earlier" !!??!!

Remember it well. Also remember how tacky it all was. Stuff stapled together so nothing would last and LLB flouncing about in his rose patterned suit. He now sports a beard with a twirly moustache, just hope his decorating skills have improved. I shall watch with interest.

That’s the one where neighbours helped right? You each did your neighbours house with help from the presenters?
The ones that I remember working were those that the neighbours said no to LLB more wacky suggestions and insisted on less outlandish make overs.

Looking forward to this LLB is tongue in cheek I think and its light relief.

LLB was a bit wacky to me often thought some of them were to feminine or fussy.
Hope he’s got better taste now.

When we moved to our railway station in Northumberland in 1999 I applied, along with our neighbours in the attached cottage. We had to do a lot of work - video the rooms we wanted to decorate, along with photographs, plus send in a profile of each of us. They did respond but sadly thought the railway line would interfere in the filming. They did choose the vicarage in Morpeth and the owners were very unhappy with the outcome, I think we had a lucky escape!

It says not my favourite programme. Most of the makeovers were too way out for me

I saw a clip on Breakfast news this morning and the styling looked like it had not changed since it was first broadcast. He he. Have you noticed how the designers use all sorts of strange colours and designs in these homes but when you see photos of their homes they all seem to be white/neutral colours.

I remember the teapots getting smashed as the 'floating shelves' fell to the floor. It was Linda Barker who was the designer and the poor homeowner was distraught as they were teapots she'd been collecting for years, some were quite valuable.

As a previous poster has said Why would anyone let that lot loose on their house. I can’t watch the programme, it’s so embarrassing. Do you think they pay compensation for the mess they create? ?

Loved that programme, but some of the rooms were horrendous, I would of sobbed. Thinking back I'm nearly sure they were to blame for my obsession with stencils, whole house was covered in them.

I picked up some really good ideas from Changing Rooms. It made me realise that decorating jobs didn't have to take weeks.
