I watched the documentary and the Reunion Concert last night. It was such a lovely evening’s viewing. ❤️ I’ll watch the third programme later on.
I think I must have seen them first on their tour after the reunion. It made me think about time has passed by. I remember thinking how old they were (I must have been about 30) and how Don had piled on the pounds. When I watched last night, I suddenly realised that they were both younger than my oldest son is now, and that today, Don’s weight gain wouldn’t cause anyone to blink an eye. That rapport they had between them while singing, the way they look at each other - it made my heart melt.
Didn’t they have hair to die for, too? From the interviews, it looked as though Phil pretty much kept all his into older age. I also loved seeing people from the past, Graham Nash, Albert Lee, the Bryants and so on. Oh, and my smelling salts helped me survive the swear words!
