I do wonder what on earth the writers were thinking if when they decided that Gemma would give birth to quads. The logistics of incorporating 4 toddler/child actors must be a headache, which is probably why the babies (apart from Aled) have never been seen since they were born! Just another daft storyline to add to so many others.

Yes, that's true. Later on, they'll all have to lie low in that tiny house for five years or so when the actors are at school, so that they can reappear with new heads, as Max has just done.

When does Gemma actually look after the quads? She always seems to be either in the Rovers or nattering to Reet or Freda or Mary. When does she cook any meals, do the housework, do the washing for five children and three adults? ( I assume her mum doesn’t do much).

What has happened to what was once a very well written and popular soap opera?
Some of the acting leaves a lot to be desired as well. Gemma shouts every line at the best of times and is IMO a very irritating character.The quads storyline was very badly researched from the beginning.She just seems to swan around without any sign of her babies or Chesney's young son.At one stage she was even working in the Rovers.
Chesney was very good as a child actor when he first came into Corrie but his acting skills have gone downhill as he got older.
Rita and Ken were very good actors as well but now both are showing their age, sad but true
Sarah Lou seems to have completely forgot she has a young child as well.She just sits in the knicker factory trying to look important behind a desk and fiddling with her hair.
I could go on for ever but will stop now. The whole soap has become a pathetic joke.

I’m sick of storylines about violence and threats. I can’t understand why anyone would want to move into the cesspit areas of soaps. They’re like sink estates. That goes for Emmerdale too.

I know what you are all saying, the Quads storyline is particularly stupid, to be honest, we are still watching the trial, we’re always ages behind.
But as long as they manage to incorporate a bit of humour, I’m still a fan.
It’s something that three generations of us watch, and there’s little else to appeal to all of us.

I think the Abbie/Seb/Nina story was well done but most other story lines in recent years have been poor or very poor

I m afraid I don’t take to Freda as a character at all and the storyline was so silly no person unless they were very mentally unwell would kidnap a baby to make a point, as for Craig coming in at the end what the xxxx our very few police don’t come out for a robbery let alone appear on the spot two minutes later
Where is Freda living ? She seems to be in The street morning, noon and night I do hope now she’s had her say she goes back to whence she came I don’t think I can be bothered tonight if it’s going to be the funeral

I can't see a policeman being allowed to turn a blind eye if he'd been called out to the kidnapping of a baby, and it turned out that he knew the kidnapper. Surely he would be obliged to arrest her?

Speaking of Craig - the busiest policeman in Manchester - I wonder what will happen with the Bailey lad's case against the other cop? If he's unable to play football again he could be in for substantial damages. I don't think the scriptwriters will let the policeman get away with it - it would look bad. But it will mean Craigy having to give evidence against a colleague, which will be very difficult for him.

I’m so pleased that Gayle is going to have her hair cut . Her hairstyle was not much of an advert for the hairdressers in the family. Looking forward to seeing the new Gayle on Friday. Agree Freda storyline awful.

Who let Gail back into the country?! They have a lot to answer for. Soap weddings don't usually go smoothly. I wonder if the same will be said for Norris's funeral?

Gail does have lovely hair, it's just too big for her face!

If she gets a cut that keeps it out of her eyes and it stops her constant blinking/fluttering of eyelashes it will be a godsend.

I used to love corrie- but these days,its either dull and boring or another murder or manslaughter! What happened to the days when it was about real northern life.

I felt like you. I don't think I've missed an episode. I suppose the writers were hoping to sneak her back in under the radar.

Agree with all the complaints but our fear is that we now have more emotions on display at his funeral. Why they have to drag these things out to the point of tedium I really don’t know. After the ridiculous Freda carry on I agree Corrie appeared unwatchable. Also agree if they want to send a message via the storylines then let it be get a vaccine which is at least useful. Let’s hope Freda disappears soon as as a character she is most annoying.

I am pleased I am not the only one who finds Freda annoying, she has way too much input in Aled's life.

Yes, it was shockingly bad. Audrey and Gail's acting in the church was terrible - and what was that hip flask all about? As if anyone would behave like that at a funeral. Just so bizarre. Did anyone else notice that Ken seems to now be a platinum blonde?!!

Surely that's it now. Norris has gone. Hope Freda disappears back to the retirement complex.
The writers seem to have lost it. Hope its back to normal soon.

I wonder if some of these episodes have been recorded as 'fillers' in case cast members were ill or 'pinged', and now they feel they need to use them?

Surely next week will improve- it cannot get any worse or can it? Tonight was again dire.
