Did you think I made that up ?
Yes.
That is the sort of thing that could be read out to a creative writing class and then the students all write for about ten minutes while the lecturer has a look through the work that they have brought in, then one has "the share" where everyone reads out what they have written and a wide variety of stories are read out and the lecturer comments on the style more than the content.
So for what I thought that you had originated as a creative writing scenario I expanded upon.
From what I had learned the way to present that would start with a line that gets the reader to want to continue.
So, for example,
"Ooh, you've brought my shoes!" she exclaimed in delight as she innocently opened the door to the man wearing a logoed tee shirt and carrying a parcel.
The word 'innocently' giving the reader a hint that all is not as it seems.
Then when someone posted of having seen that, I thought that it sounded like part of a television drama that you had simply repeated. So I looked on iplayer but there was nothing obvious. So I thought that it might be in the middle of something, and could have been on any of a number of channels, so I started this thread.
