I know merylstreep but it seems every time he makes a post you jump in to make him wrong not just this thread

I see that you have singled me out for criticising ElderlyPerson.
So I take that as personal. That’s ok, it’s better to know where one stands than not.

By the way, I know that the post about having also seen it is before my post in that thread, but I was going through the posts and posting comments as I proceeded, and I did not see that post until after I hsd replied to your post.

As you will have seen, ElderlyPerson has stated on this thread and another that he didn’t believe me.

I have not said that I disbelieved you, I have said that I thought you made it up.

You asked:

> How about this scenario.

You then described a scenario.

You then wrote:

> I would like to know your honest opinion of this bizarre scenario.

I had every reason to believe, as I did, that that was a hypothetical scenario of your own devising.

When someone posted of having seen it, I thought it was possibly a television drama, so I looked for it.

That was entirely reasonable as you had raised the topic.

Also it was neither you nor me that mentioned about murders in that thread.

I realise that this could be regarded as about another thread but I consider to have a right to correct a false claim about me and that that is the more important issue.

You raised the scenario.

Did you think I made that up ?

Yes.

That is the sort of thing that could be read out to a creative writing class and then the students all write for about ten minutes while the lecturer has a look through the work that they have brought in, then one has "the share" where everyone reads out what they have written and a wide variety of stories are read out and the lecturer comments on the style more than the content.

So for what I thought that you had originated as a creative writing scenario I expanded upon.

From what I had learned the way to present that would start with a line that gets the reader to want to continue.

So, for example,

"Ooh, you've brought my shoes!" she exclaimed in delight as she innocently opened the door to the man wearing a logoed tee shirt and carrying a parcel.

The word 'innocently' giving the reader a hint that all is not as it seems.

Then when someone posted of having seen that, I thought that it sounded like part of a television drama that you had simply repeated. So I looked on iplayer but there was nothing obvious. So I thought that it might be in the middle of something, and could have been on any of a number of channels, so I started this thread.

BlueBelle Thu 30-Sept-21 22:31:06

No he was just interested, don’t be so jumpy merylstreep

It was very interesting EP and the way he was eventually caught was complex too

In

www.gransnet.com/forums/aibu/1301571-Taking-in-parcels-for-neighbours?pg=7

there is reference to a scenario that it later appears to possibly be from a television drama from a few days ago.

About a man disguised a delivery driver pushing into a house, attacking three women, stealing what looks like a computer hard drive and fleeing.

Does anyone recognise this?

If so, can you tell me what it is please as I would like to view it on a website if possible?
