Just watching this.

Another psychological thriller.

Joanne Froggatt playing another abused wife.

Where does she work? I thought she was a veterinary assistant, then I wondered if it was a prison, or a dog rescue centre. Still not sure.

6 episodes, no idea where it’s going.

Very disappointed in the episode just watched but will have to watch it to the end to see what happens.

I havent a clue what is going to happen, is she having a psychotic episode or is her husband playing mind games with her?... enjoying it tho!!

Never have a problem with speech as I read subtitles whilst listening to the words and that makes it perfect Got it down to a fine art Why dont more people do that instead of putting up with poor sound My TV s not ultra posh but the sound is very good and I don’t have a problem but have got into the habit of subs as an addition in case I miss anything

I m thoroughly enjoying it he s a creepy husband and not at all sure about the private eye yet What’s with the rabbit getting killed are these dead animals all just warnings to make her frightened
I think she’s doing a sterling job of acting the part

Did anyone else have a problem with the dialogue, I found it very indistinct in places.

Calendargirl Mon 18-Oct-21 08:52:54

Fell asleep in the 2nd episode, woke up five minutes before the end to see Angela looking traumatised, telling her sons that a fox had killed the rabbit, resulting in said sons rushing off crying and shouting ‘I hate you!’

Is it worth me watching it again, or are another four episodes four too many?

She looked into the mirror and a space where a tooth should have been in the lower set, was quite clear.
Didnt we see her in the dentists office?
Talking of teeth, when it was knocked out, could anyone else tell what it was by the sound of it hitting the hard floor?
Maybe because something similar happened to me I immediately knew without actually seeing what happened.
I thought that was a very good way to let the viewer in on the scene, without actually being graphic.

Black it out

NanKate Tue 12-Oct-21 07:42:13

How did they manage to show that she had lost a tooth, when obviously she hadn’t?

JaneJudge Mon 11-Oct-21 21:00:22

well, what a load of rubbish is my opinion of what I thought would be good.

Bea65 Mon 11-Oct-21 19:44:29

Though it boring and very tired acting..not intriguing at all maybe will pick up..

MissAdventure Mon 11-Oct-21 19:21:41

I really ought to watch this.
Mangled foxes, rats...

Bridie22 Mon 11-Oct-21 18:44:24

I thought it was a big rat !

Kittye Mon 11-Oct-21 18:35:55

ninathenana I thought it was a mangled fox too!

Doodledog Mon 11-Oct-21 18:09:24

Yes, that's right. It's recently been on the Classic Corrie re-runs.

Calendargirl Mon 11-Oct-21 18:06:19

In Corrie, she was a very young, pregnant homeless girl, think she was called Zoe? Did Ashley, Fred Elliot’s nephew/son try and help her?

Then I think the baby was going to be adopted by Judy and Gary, can’t remember their surname, but did Zoe change her mind?

Apologies for this garbled version, I haven’t looked it up!

BlueBelle Mon 11-Oct-21 17:57:25

Gosh I can’t remember her in Corrie ?

ninathenana Mon 11-Oct-21 17:56:18

I thought the body in the gutter was a fox

Namsnanny Mon 11-Oct-21 17:18:42

Yes and Downton Callistemon

Namsnanny Mon 11-Oct-21 17:17:42

She was in corrie JaneJudge but I've forgotten the story line. In fact I thought she might have been another of Steve McDonalds girls!

Callistemon Mon 11-Oct-21 17:16:51

She had a nice husband in Downton Abbey.
?

Namsnanny Mon 11-Oct-21 17:12:51

Calendargirl

Another one where they live in a posh house, but apparently don’t have a dishwasher, as she was busily washing up after their dinner party.

Haha *calendergirl that was the first thing I noticed!

JaneJudge Mon 11-Oct-21 16:30:54

wasn't she in coronation street as an abused woman too, years ago?

Curlywhirly Mon 11-Oct-21 16:24:17

The dogs (the muzzled one and the mangled dead one at the roadside) must be significant, but goodness knows how they will fit in with the story. Maybe she steals some of the medication (that puts dogs to sleep) and kills her vile husband, because in addition to hitting her, he ran over her very much loved pet dog?!!
