Anyone watched this new comedy/ drama on BBC1? It has Stephen Merchant and Christopher Walken in amongst others in a good cast. It’s a story of a group of offenders doing community service. I’ve seen the first 2 episodes as the second one is on iPlayer, but for some reason there aren’t any more episodes available. I’m really enjoying it .

I’ve just realised it’s called Offenders not Outlaws - don’t know where that came from will try to get the thread title changed.

I think it is called Outlaws. We loved it but it got poor write ups.

I'm a fan of Stephen Merchant so was looking forward to this - switched off after 15 minutes. Very disappointed

Just seen you are right about the title vegansrock. How weird.

ignore other thread thanks

I thought it was going to be another one of those sitcoms with just one joke but it has turned into a comedy thriller and I'm enjoying it so far.
I saw Stephen Merchant on the One Show telling how he got Christopher Walken to be in it. It has the Dracula actor too!

We have seen the first two episodes. It seemed a bit daft at first, but we stuck with it and really enjoyed it
We also tried to find it on catch up last night, but subsequent episodes don't seem to be available

I've only seen the first one. Somewhat uninspired but I will certainly watch the second as I really like Stephen Merchant's stuff.

They advertised it as a comedy, but I haven't seen anything funny in the first episode and I am in two minds as to whether to continue

Not impressed with the first episode and switched off after 15 minutes.

Started watching it last night when I was doing some catchup channel hopping. Absolutely loved it and was tempted to stay up all night binge watching it. In retrospect everyone thinks Ricky Gervaise was the brains behind The Office but it was probably Stephen Merchant and Mackenzie Crooke.

Last night's episode was fabulous- really, really good.

I’m really enjoying it. Very relatable and funny.

We're watching it and thoroughly enjoying it. It does switch quite quickly from comedy to drama. For some strange reason, I managed to download episode 4, even though it was only showing episode 3 last night. Oh my goodness it's really thrilling. I just checked and I'm downloading episode 5 ready to watch tonight!

Binge watching it. SPOILER ALERT was so worried in episode 2 that she wouldn’t get to the party…..

Hetty58 Wed 10-Nov-21 00:25:59

It's silly and predictable but I'm still watching it - as anything lighthearted is very welcome right now.

Binge watched all of it last night. I half recognised Christopher Walken but didn’t realise how famous he was. I found him mesmerising. I’ve read that there’s going to be a second series….not sure if it’s true but hope it is. Loved it.

I love Outlaws. I think the development of the storyline has been brilliant. It’s a modern tragicomedy.
Every single one of the cast has put in a stellar performance. I’ve binge watched it and can’t wait for the next episode.
As for Christopher Walken - I’m a lifelong fan. He was brilliant in my favourite film - Man on Fire.

Love it.
I’m a big Christopher Walken fan. His scene in The Deer Hunter where he played Russian Roulette was brilliant ??
He’s also a very very good dancer.

I need to watch all of his films now. An actor that seems to choose his roles very carefully.

More of his wonderful moves

Binge watched all six episodes over the last two evenings. It was a joy to see Christopher Walken on-screen again, obviously enjoying himself. Loved it all.

I loved it.As did our DD when I reccomend.I wasn't initially sure in the first episode but all the characters developed so much and thought it was a great mix of humour and drama and very original.
