R.I.P. Lionel. He seemed like a real gentleman, a lovely man.

Urmstongran Thu 04-Nov-21 21:58:11

My goodness. I think of Humphrey Lyttelton and ‘I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue’.
RIP Lionel Blair. You seemed a really decent bloke. ?

Calendargirl Thu 04-Nov-21 22:03:39

‘Give Us A Clue’.

He and Una Stubbs, who also died recently.

Both so good in that.

I remember when he was in The Real Marigold Hotel not very long ago and he said how much he was missing his wife and seemed rather lost without her.

Condolences to her and his family.

RIP Lionel Blair

Sad to hear about Lionel dying sad
I too enjoyed him in the Real Marigold Hotel.

Lilydrop Fri 05-Nov-21 08:25:08

Yes I saw him on the Marigold Hotel. I was saying to DH this morning that he came accross as a bit depressed about his tummy and I think he was yearning for days gone by. It was quite sad really because he always came accross as so lively.

He was always, always smiling. That’s what I remember most of all.

BlueBelle Fri 05-Nov-21 08:46:30

What was wrong with his stomach then lily
He was certainly a lively chap and had a lot of hair which he never lost
But he had a long and fruitful life so we shouldn’t be too sad I don’t think he was one to be downhearted

I cant remember about his tummy I think it was after an illness or an op. He went to one of the indian healers on the programme to ask advise about it. I think it got him down because he had always kept himself fit and trim.
