Hello
Yes, he’s off to GBNews.

He’s said because of something to do freedom of speech, apparently.

Not sure if the word ‘w***’ has been mentioned.

What do we think then?

After his excellent contribution to Mrs Brown's Boys it was surely only a matter of time before Mr Holmes was poached by GBNews.

Bullseye!!! ??

I remember what Farage was saying in a calm and measured manner on the few minutes of GB News that I've watched.

He said that our true friends in the world speak English.

Fascism doesn't arrive in jackboots and rallies, it arrives in a nice suit and quiet words.

That's what is so scary. The world is starting to feel more and more like the 1930s.

MerylStreep

I sometimes found Richard Madeley mildly amusing, that was until he took the piss out of Southend when doing a live interview with someone local on the tragic death of David Amess.
As far as I’m concerned, now, he’s dead in the water. Metaphorically speaking you understand ?
But having thought about it?

I can't take him seriously. He's too much like Alan Partridge.

Oh come on Al, you are Slytherin through and through.
Me, I’m Ravenclaw

Oops sorry, that was meant to be the soothing image of the kangaroo with the teddy. Must have picked the wrong image. Silly me.

.

Kandinsky. If that’s too hard just tell me.

That’s a yes. The clue is in the sigh!

James OB is hardly ever rude to anyone these days.
He has had therapy to address his anger issues, and regularly talks about it
It has definitely made him a better broadcaster

Can't stand Farage or James O Brien. I used to lsten to LBC until he came on. He is so rude to everyone! (JOB). Don't like Farage either. I now listen to Times radio - much better!

Is it why the Five Eyes was created?
The Five Eyes (FVEY) is an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

There was a rather cruel attitude about Holmes around a few years ago, to do with his weight, glad when it stopped.

lemongrove Fri 12-Nov-21 15:31:01

Kandinsky ?
I think the meaning is obvious, but there are a few who like to split hairs.

Alegrias1 Fri 12-Nov-21 15:21:53

sigh

Kandinsky Fri 12-Nov-21 14:56:58

Just list our 5 closest allies & the language they speak.
If that’s too hard just tell me.

Alegrias1 Fri 12-Nov-21 14:50:34

Kandinsky

Educate me smile

What in, geopolitics or algebra?

Calistemon Fri 12-Nov-21 14:45:20

Kandinsky

What 5 countries would you say are our closest allies? And next to the country can you put what language they speak.
Thanks!

I'll start:

Australia could be termed an ally. Language spoken: Strine

If Australians spoke English they wouldn't have to take an English language exam at their own expense (£550 at last count) before they can work in the NHS.

MissAdventure Fri 12-Nov-21 14:41:44

I quite like Eamonn.

our true friends in the world all speak English

is not the same as

everybody who speaks English is our friend.

Does not commute (little algebra joke there smile)

Kandinsky Fri 12-Nov-21 14:07:51

Also, he didn't say that everybody who speaks English is our friend. What he said was......oh, never mind

Don’t misquote him then!

FannyCornforth Fri 12-Nov-21 13:44:28

Isn’t the missus German?

Alegrias1 Fri 12-Nov-21 13:34:47

Oh FFS.

There's always one.

Also, he didn't say that everybody who speaks English is our friend. What he said was......oh, never mind.

The Welsh off the hook then?

Kandinsky Fri 12-Nov-21 13:30:05

He said that our true friends in the world speak English

Although over 1.5 billion people speak English he’s cast his net pretty wide.
However, I don’t agree with him there as plenty of Irish & Scottish people can’t stand the English.
