That was the point of her humour though, which no one had managed to do until then.
She did the first mockumentary, coined the the phrase Am I Bothered, before Cathrine Tate, and quite a few other firsts I cant quite remember now.
Let's do it her biography had mixed reviews (mainly too long without revealing much about the woman herself). So I didnt read it myself.
But there is a new one coming out that might be more interesting.
She was a very private person by all accounts, and not very likeable (whatever that means?).
If you watch the programs about the filming of Dinner Ladies, she mostly worked hard and had no spare time for building friendships. Very professional.
