Here I stand...
Look around...
One of my favourites!

I've watched some and recorded the rest. It was very sad, I hadn't seen his sister before either.
Love the music

(and, as an aside, Brian May)

Another programme following on now.
The 1975 concert. smile

I've been watching it all night. (After strictly) It's really moving.

I'm beyond envious, Galaxy.
I really should have seen Queen live.

MissAdventure Sat 27-Nov-21 22:24:02

What an absolute treat!
George Michael.
Roger Daltry.
Axel Rose in his kilt!
Liz Taylor.
Annie Lennox.

So glad I didn’t miss this, lots of joy and lots of tears ?

Galaxy Sat 27-Nov-21 22:21:37

I saw them at their last tour, he was amazing.

grin
I remember my mum driving us somewhere (a bright yellow escort with squeaky brakes)

My daughter was only little, but we had queen on and were giving it our all, singing bohemian rhapsody.

Just as it got to the final crashing crescendo, flames burst out from the bonnet!

Your daughter was right MissAdventure, intriguing and enchanting he was.
It’s been a great programme, very emotional and such great music. We won’t hear his like again.

MissAdventure Sat 27-Nov-21 22:03:58

I'm a big fan, as were my mum and my daughter.
My girl would have loved this programme - she found Freddie intriguing and enchanting.

I liked his music.

MissAdventure Sat 27-Nov-21 22:00:43

It's just terrible isn't it?

I have never seen his sister before, or made me weep when she told of her dad reading the newspaper, and his tears dripping onto it.

seacliff Sat 27-Nov-21 21:57:51

Yes me too, really good but so sad. It was terrible how people were treated.

MissAdventure Sat 27-Nov-21 21:44:38

I'm watching a really interesting (and sad) programme about the man, the music, and the attitude to AIDS, back when it was first known about.

If anyone gets the chance to watch it on catch up or something, I can recommend it.
