Bloodline is a family saga set in The Florida Keys. Sam Shepard and Sissy Spaceck play the parents of four adult children, three sons and one daughter. One son, the black sheep of the family, returns and causes a lot of problems for the family. I believe there are four series.

I liked the storyline but got fed up with the constant swearing with every other word F*

A good mystery/ supernatural series, set in Turkey is also very good.

We’ve just watched the last series of Gomorrah, not for the faint hearted, but very watchable with subtitles.
The Marvellous Mrs Maisel was very good, although that might have been on Prime….

I like the European ones too , especially the scandi ones. I think Netflix tends to have too many American series at least here in Australia. I do like the British ones we can get though they do tend to be a pit pessimistic and depressing. Most Australian films are dire these days, sadly.

We are now enjoying series 2 of Suburra: blood on Rome. which is based in a costal town near Rome and features a heady mix of politicians, the Vatican and the Mafia all vying for control of land to turn into a port.

Click and Collect is a very funny British film.

We watched Don't Look Up yesterday. It's a star studded film with Meryl Streep playing a Trump like president.
We enjoyed spotting the real life parallels. It's tongue in cheek- a sort of tragicomedy.
I enjoyed it.

Just read about a Korean love story called Crash Landing on You which was filled in some gorgeous Swiss locations. Will add it to my list.

Loved Offspring, just finished series 2 of Top of the Lakes, set between New Zealand and Australia, highly recommend. Enjoyed the Valhalla murders, White Lines, Queen of the South, Chestnut Man, Clickbait, Unbelievable, Virgin River (both series), Sweet Magnolias, Orange is the New Black, Midnight Mass, The Fall

We watched a side splitting film at the weekend with our kids. ‘ The Office Christmas Party’, with Jennifer Anniston, and Jason Bateman. Not for kids!?

Also Breaking Bad is brilliant...but watch Better Call Saul first. Although it was only made a few years ago, it’s the ‘ prequel’ to Breaking Bad.

I love better Call Saul & Breaking bad but I would disagree with watching BCS first, as even though it's the prequel its not finished yet, there's still one season to come. But even when it is all finished in my opinion it's still better to watch BB first because all the characters & connections are a mystery that slowly unfolds and fascinates.
If you've watched BCS first there won't be so many surprises. Then when you finish BB & start BSC you see how it all came to be and where it all started, how they all meet & how deeply connected they are etc .. Still lots of surprises and interesting back story to be revealed.
Sorry I geek out a bit over this because I love both shows so much & I'm glad they made them in this order.

El Camino is the film sequel to Breaking Bad and an excellent way to round it all off.

There is a foodie series on Netflix called Somebody Feed Phil, in which an American actor goes to different places around the world trying the food and meeting the people. I found him a highly engaging character who genuinely loves people, and for that reason it was uplifting to watch.

Many ideas here, so will def have a look at the recommendations thanks.
I have 2 so diverse, first is The Girl From Oslo, very exciting and my second choice is Bonus Family, a Swedish series that has me in tears.

I watched The Unforgivable, yesterday. It’s quite sad, but Sandra Bullock’s acting was very good.

Another one we enjoyed is called On Becoming a God in Central Florida, It's a brilliant dark comedy, sadly only one season as due to the pandemic it was cancelled. I hope if enough people watch it they might reconsider & pick it up again.
I was a bit irritated by it at first but by the end of the first episode I loved it and watched it all.

Just finished watching The Last Days..couldn't watch it all at once...too much. It's probably the saddest thing I have ever watched. But informative. And a reminder....

I watched 'Little Women' on Netflix yesterday. It was absolutely perfect! It seemed to cover the various sequels too but was a beautiful production. I loved it.
