Quite old films and often not pc, but could watch them time and time again; if he has quite a black sense of humour, like DH and me, then look out Animal House and Blues Brothers with the late lamented John Belushi plus Mash (either the film or the boxed set of the entire set of series). Also any of the Pink Panther films, and also Three Men and a Baby and Notting Hill always cheer me up. Boxed sets of Porridge, Vicar of Dibley, Dad’s Army as mentioned by others, Only Fools and Horses are also good fun. None particularly Christmassy except the odd episode though if that is important. We don’t have any of the subscription services, so don’t know if you can get these on those, but still time to get boxed sets if you want to boost Amazon’s profits! I bought to entire set of Mash a few years ago, and DD and I often sit through a few at a sitting when we get together. Mind you, we also sit through Harry Potter and Dr Who reruns too ??
I’m personally looking forward to David Tennant in Round the World in 80 Days on Boxing Day. Christmas visit to DD and partner has disappointingly been cancelled as she has Covid, so remote control is mine! (Well, technically ours)
