I love Anna

Luckylegs Sun 27-Feb-22 22:11:50

I was so happy that there was a new presenter too as I really dislike Siobhan, the Irish loudmouth. She is just too loud and bossy but damn, she’s back now! I’m just loving the programme though so much.

Atqui Sun 27-Feb-22 21:59:43

Not sure which is more annoying - Sioban , or my husband shouting at the TV for her to shut up!!
I thought Anna’s should have won tonight- the visor on AJs armour seemed to stick out over the bowl necessitating the user to stand well back and take aim!

Grandmabatty Mon 21-Feb-22 12:28:31

I watched the quarter final this morning and I've been blubbering away. Christine really deserved potter of the week. I like AJs style. It's very much her and she will go far, I'm sure. It could have been Anna or Jenny to go in my opinion. A very emotional episode.

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 21-Feb-22 11:27:32

I thought that Jenny would be Potter of the year, but the others have really started to shine, Christines figure was very touching. A very brave thing to do.
I think that this years series is so hard for them, I’m so impressed, very skilled potters.

Nandalot Mon 21-Feb-22 10:46:56

Yes, a very deserving winner. A really powerful piece.

muse Mon 21-Feb-22 10:15:29

In tears too last night when Jenny left. Very pleased Christine won. Loved the strength of AJ’s piece. I don’t usually like angular sculptures but that represented her so well.

Rich ☺️

Christine's sculpture was good and a deserving winner - but I do not think it needed the writing - I think it was good enough to speak for itself.

Hers stood out - I did not much like the others to be honest. A worthy winner!

BlueBelle Mon 21-Feb-22 08:38:25

I knew Keith would be in tears I didn’t expect I would too I have always liked Christine and her work although I ve not thought of her as the strongest potter but last night she really was I thought her attempt was wonderful so well thought out and so thought provoking I think AJ is probably the winner but I really didnt like her attempt very much last night

Gingster Mon 21-Feb-22 08:25:03

Yes tears here too. Lovely, brave lady!

Sarnia Mon 21-Feb-22 08:22:41

Last night's programme was a tearjerker. I am so pleased Christine got Potter of the Week with her emotive sculpture. AJ seems to be the one to beat.

LadyGracie Mon 14-Feb-22 13:37:52

Yes JaneJudge it was Siobhan in the Derry girls.
She's always been shouty and loud, she spoils the programme for me, I always think she's showing off.
Bring back Ellie!

Atqui Mon 14-Feb-22 13:28:36

Keith has written a book “A boy in a China shop” - a must read.

Atqui Mon 14-Feb-22 13:27:36

…and doesn’t Rich have beautiful hands?

Atqui Mon 14-Feb-22 13:25:50

I felt a bit sorry for Jenny as Keith was so impressed with her fish , she might have thought she’d won that round - but then AJs other challenge was amazing too so perhaps not. I prefer the stand in presenter , but to be fair she has been just as loud as Sioban. Husband finds S very annoying ,. I suspect there is more to it than being loud , but would not be PC to expand on that!!

Dinahmo Mon 14-Feb-22 12:32:21

This programme, as with Bake Off and Sewing Bee show us Brits to advantage - caring, helpful, supportive and self deprecating. No bitchiness on view.

NotTooOld Mon 14-Feb-22 12:17:31

Agree, AJ or Jenny to win. They both did well last night. I wish the Irish woman - Siobhan, is it? - was not coming back, she is so loud and annoying. The other one - Ellie? - is a hundred times better. I loved her silk blouse with the pink collar last night. Rich seems like a lovely man. So calm, and makes sensible and encouraging comments about the pots. You would choose him over Keith any time in a crisis, wouldn't you? grin

BBbevan Mon 14-Feb-22 10:37:31

I quite liked Tom, but could see things were not quite right. Sorry to see him go though he was a nice chap. Ellie also.
Yes AJ or Jenny to win.

muse Mon 14-Feb-22 10:23:05

Same thoughts from me BlueBelle. Abstract will not suit Anna I think. Looking forward to next week. I prefer abstract forms to real life. Loved Jenny’s two winning pieces from last week.

AJ or Jenny to win. Thought AJ’s weird fish were inspiration.

Sorry to see Ellie go as the presenter. Hope they get her back.
I follow Rose on Twitter and love her work.

Grandmabatty Mon 14-Feb-22 10:17:45

I love AJs work. It's very original. I also think Jenny is quietly getting better and better. I thought Tom might go, although Christine wasn't as good as before. Siobhan wasn't as loud in previous series. I wonder if she was a bit nervous and trying to establish her position.

Cherrytree59 Mon 14-Feb-22 10:11:49

I also think AJ has good chance of winning.
I love her work and covet the Otter lamp.
I have the perfect spot for it ready and waiting smile

BlueBelle Mon 14-Feb-22 09:59:06

I thought Tom would go he has been weaker than some others
I m disappointed the Irish lady presenter is coming back she spoils it for me
Aj is very clever and will win I m sure the others left are good too each week I think the right one has gone out
I haven’t caught all the names or .I should say I haven’t retained all the names but anna I think it is or Christine may be next although they could pull something out the bag
I do like Rich he seems such a calm, nice, encouraging man

LadyGracie

It was a shame Tom left. There have been some great potters this series.
I find Siobhan really loud I wish she’d stayed off recuperating till the next series, at least.

is she the lady who was the nun in derry girls?

I watched it for the first time last night. I love AJs fish/frog things.

I thought Tom's pots were fine too grin they all seemed really good though

The problem with Tom yesterday was that, although what he made was good, it did not fulfil the scraffito brief.

I thought that the animals that were made were excellent and would have been better left without the light bulbs and trailing flexes.
