OK, so say the coat hood did turn out to be real fur, not that I think it is, mightn't Alex Jones simply have been misled into buying a garment that is not faux fur as stated on the label? Why be annoyed with her personally when the blame should probably lie with an overseas manufacturer?

I agree Calistemon puppy farming is so cruel, I don’t understand how people can be so unkind to dogs. Unfortunately there’s a lot of rural crime about, and I’m all in favour of the police devoting some of their energies into issues in these areas, it’s much needed.

Puppy farming is terrible, my friend has a rescued puppy and the mother is now in a good home, poor little thing.

Sheep rustling is sadly very common. Also badger baiting, egg stealing, puppy farms, shooting animals and birds that are protected, stealing quad bikes and farm equipment etc. etc. it’s a jungle out here in Rural Wales!

In fairness we do have them in Wales, we have a Wildlife and Rural Crime Co-ordinator, and designated police in each force allocated to wildlife and rural crime. There’s a lot of it about here unfortunately.

Even OB (outdoor broadcasts) use studio/floodlights as natural light especially in winter is not good enough to film by.

In which case, I ma delighted. I have never ever seen such real looking and reacting 'faux fur' - ever. (and as said, I have received quite a bit of training).

I have a fake - sorry, faux - fur jacket that lots of people have thought was real. Even a dry cleaner had to look at the label before he would agree to clean it after I dropped a cup of coffee down it. 40 quid in a Monsoon sale many years ago. Lovely and warm. There are probably people all over the place tut-tutting about the disgusting woman they've seen wearing fur.

What tells you that it is real?

There were close ups and it was windy- so it was like blowing on the 'fur'- and also the differences in shading. I trained with wildlife police and this is what we were told to look for. Much much too long hairs for rabbit.

If it was fake- then it was amazingly great fake, never seen the like. Would love to be proven wrong.

I just wish she’d pronounce the ‘g’ when a word ends in one.

There have long been suggestions that clothes made in China do use real fur as it is cheaper to rip for out of live rabbits than it is to manufacture fake fur. Another good reason to avoid, if possible, buying goods from China. Sorry to slightly hijack the thread!
