Yes, Bunty was back smile. What a great programme it is.

They do seem to be filming with very few characters in each episode, presumably because of Covid. Bunty is married to Rick Edwards who presents Impossible.

Lovely gentle series that doesn't need much brain power.
Absolutely delightful.

Hurrah! Bunty was back today but Sid and Mrs M were missing so Covid precautions must be the reason they can't all be filmed together.

Love the programme but also wondering where Bunty has gone.

He was fabulous in Blandings too.

We love it - something to watch in the afternoons! Mark Williams is so good as Father Brown smile

Lovely light hearted easy watching series. Mark Williams is really suited to the role.

Good to see Sid back but where’s Bunty??

Mrs McCarthy is played by Sorcha Cusack, one of the Cusack clan, a family of talented actors. Father Cyril Cusack, daughters Sinéad, Niamh, Sorcha, Catherine and two sons, I think.

Her sister is married to Jeremy Irons.

The series are always over so quickly as they are shown every day for about two weeks. Like 'All Creatures', this programme is gentle, inoffensive, and shows the beauty of the Cotswolds. Yesterday's episode had some marvelous photography.

We like Father Brown too, but we record it to watch in the evenings.

I remember my grandmother always seemed to be wearing a hat like Mrs McCarthy.

Coastpath Tue 11-Jan-22 21:33:02

This is such a great show, I've no idea why it's not on the evenings. Am I the only one who loves Mrs McCarthy's outfits? There's always a lovely hat, smart gloves and a beautiful brooch to admire.

Pretty scenery, some laughs and a great story. Wonderful.

Ah, thank you, that's where I know her from. I thought as Mrs McCarthy was "on holiday" it might be her.

Lesley Nicol is the actor who played Mrs.Chumley, she also plays the cook in Downton Abbey.

Did anyone who saw today's episode think that Mrs Chumly was played by the same person who plays Mrs McCarthy
