I have just binge watched series 3 of Afterlife on netflix. I have never really liked Ricky Gervais on tv but have loved this programme. It mixes humour,anger,grief and living life past bereavement.
But I found myself upset by the crude offensive language which just seemed unnecessary for the story.
I don't think I am prudish. Certainly after 40 years as a nurse in NHS nothing shocks me ! However the coarse language and constant stereotyping of vulnerable groups in society just was too much for me.
Anyone else have any thoughts on the series ?
