Couldn't understand a word of it. Gave up after 15 minutes.

I thought this was a really good interview with the writer (it’s long, mind!).

Not quite, Bucks, though much of it is true. It’s taken from the experiences of a responder who burnt out and left the job after 12 years. His marriage broke down and he ended up living in his car. But he wasn’t corrupt and the personal life shown here wasn’t his.

Bucks Fri 04-Feb-22 18:40:59

Did anybody realise it is a true story. Written by the person who experienced these issues. Well written and well acted.

I am curiously waiting to hear what Urmstongran wanted to discuss about it too.

Barmeyoldbat Fri 04-Feb-22 08:41:56

Loved it along with the humour

DiscoDancer1975 Fri 04-Feb-22 08:27:41

We watched this in the end, as we were curious. Sort of enjoyed it, but so depressing.

I feel he ‘ sorted’ it all out in the end...wouldn’t really say there were unexpected twists.

Just another drama about drugs. Like The Tourist.

I thought it improved as it went on. The last episode was gripping with unexpected twists. It made a change from so many formulaic productions.

We wondered if it was being left open for a further series.

Luckylegs Thu 03-Feb-22 23:22:16

So - what did you want to discuss about it, Urmstongran?

Jaxjacky Thu 03-Feb-22 17:35:34

Watched it last night, we’ve loved it, a fitting episode.

Callistemon21 Thu 03-Feb-22 17:09:57

Are we still worried about spoilers?

trisher Thu 03-Feb-22 15:20:57

Not the right thing to do at all- Mmm debatable isn't it. certainly not everyone finished up with the legal outcome they deserved. But there was a sort of justice to it.

Callistemon21 Thu 03-Feb-22 14:32:09

Perhaps I wasn't watching properly (must learn not to multi-task) and it was a bagful of Persil?

Callistemon21 Thu 03-Feb-22 14:30:32

But not the right thing to do at all.

Just totally irresponsible and dangerous.

Luckylegs Thu 03-Feb-22 14:07:35

I have loved every episode! Edge of my seat stuff. I have seen it all now but how will we know when it’s safe to talk about it all, eh Urmstongran? I’d love to talk about the ending, very satisfactory for me.

silverlining48 Thu 03-Feb-22 10:41:00

I enjoyed it too the ending was fine, because sometimes endings can be disappointing, leaving hope fir a possible second series.

trisher Thu 03-Feb-22 10:35:19

I liked the ending. Enough information to make me feel some conclusions had been reached, but plenty of things left open for (hopefully) a second series.

Callistemon21 Wed 02-Feb-22 23:22:26

Perhaps we can discuss it when everyone on the thread has seen it smile

Of course, I might have got it wrong or I might even have forgotten it by then

Maggiemaybe Wed 02-Feb-22 23:20:10

Now I did like the ending, Calli. And I can't say why either. smile

Callistemon21 Wed 02-Feb-22 23:02:56

I didn't like the ending.

Can't say why as it might be a Spoiler for those who haven't watched yet.

Kate1949 Wed 02-Feb-22 22:46:29

I thought it was brilliant.

Maggiemaybe Wed 02-Feb-22 22:42:24

I’ve seen every episode now, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m already hoping there’ll be another series. smile

Allsorts Wed 02-Feb-22 18:55:31

Very good acting, but it’s so depressing. What a place to exist.

DiscoDancer1975 Tue 01-Feb-22 18:00:03

maddyone

Discodancer there are no adverts on iPlayer because it’s BBC. There are adverts on the others such as ITVHub though.

Yes, I realise BBC i player is ok, but mostly recording is good. My daughter said it’s getting better, so may give it another go.

Lip56 Tue 01-Feb-22 13:42:07

Brilliant acting from all cast !! Thoroughly enjoyed smile)

maddyone Tue 01-Feb-22 11:43:13

You can watch BBC iPlayer on your television. You don’t need Ann iPad.
