There are two programmes on Fleetwood Mac on BBC2 tonight. One started at 10pm - ‘The Dance’ and the other follows at 11:45 - ‘Don’t Stop’.

I watched it too, very enjoyable. Couldn't help but sing along.

Rumours was an album we played all the time. It brings back that period so vividly. And reminds me of the Grand Prix racing music too, that exciting entry music.

I have to say, I have never really been into them, but my tastes are changing.

My dds and I saw them in Glasgow in 2013. The crowd was a lot more raucous than the one in The Dance! Maybe they’d been told to behave because they were going to be on the telly. grin

It was a wonderful concert, helped by us being just a few rows back. We didn’t sit down all evening, too busy dancing!

smile

That sounds brilliant!

I've recorded The Dance. The CD of it is an old favourite, and I have all their earlier albums on vinyl, though nothing comes close to Rumours.

Wish I'd been able to see them at their best. I saw them twice in 2003 on the Say You Will tour and was really disappointed, Christine McVie wasn't with them and in any case, the magic had long gone.

Nothing compares to the days of Peter Green with Fleetwood Mac . Sadly I was too young to see them then but managed to in 1980 during the Tusk tour.

Do either of these programmes feature him?

A big favourite of mine and I enjoyed the programmes. there has been one on Prime for some time. Songbird is heartbreaking.

My OHs claim to fame ( which he has often repeated ?) is that Peter Green asked him for a cigarette in The Crickiters pub in Southend.
Then the 2 of them walked down the road to the Cliffs Pavilion where Peter was performing that night.

Absolutely fantastic. Loved them for decades now.
