I am watching an episode after recording and Sean Bean is so handsome in this series. I wonder if he ever watches and hankers after his youth again, I'm sure he must do like most of us GN people

I really liked Sean Bean in Game of Thrones, and he is currently playing 'the baddie' in Snowpiercer on Netflix, which I am enjoying after recommendation from DS2. I seem to vaguely remember him in a very gritty drama about a British service man who was captured and imprisoned in Iraq? , eventually escaped/ freed, but came back for revenge on his sadistic jailer. Can't remember the title?
I've never watched Sharpe, travelsafar, thank you for the recommendation. smile

Mr C has DVDs of the Sharpe series. I have been known to encourage them to be played grin.

I watched the Yorkshire tea advert the other night, and thought that even advertising tea, Sean manages to look rugged, sexy, craggy…..

SeanBean He just seems to get better with age I loved the Sharpe series it is so good.
When Sharpe was made into a film yrs ago the opening was in London somewhere and DS1 was at the time serving with Royal Green Jackets and SB came to the opening night the RGJs gave him a guard of honour into the theatre he was so friendly to the soldiers he stayed and chatted to the lads and went to the local pub after the film where he paid the bill for the night, such a great guy according to DS1

My husband read all the Sharpe books, and we all watched the series.
He always complained that the character wasn't remotely like Sean Bean. I think he said he should be a dark-haired Cockney?

My daughter and I told him he was missing the point ?

I've watched the Sharpe series a number of times and have all the books.

For those interested in a younger, very hunky Sean Bean in uniform, waltzing, take a look at this clip from Anna Karenina ?
