Yes you did Chestnut, I just wanted to be sure.
I watched it last night.
I enjoyed it. The son Joe and his girlfriend captured the soulless empty human quite subtly, I thought.
Thank you for suggesting this.

I said 12 days was left (yesterday) so maybe 10-11 now.

I wonder how they filmed the plants and the plant nursery, because there were so many of them! I was astonished to imagine they had made so many fake plants and set them up like that. A really big job for the set designers.

The very last bit is really spooky! It was interesting that the women in the film were patronised heavily by the men. And the writer/director was also a woman. A very different kind of horror.

Grandmabatty

I've started watching this. The music/sound effects are very unsettling.

Sorry, I didn't notice you've already started watching it. Yes, I found the 'music' very weird and unsettling. As is the whole movie!

Grandmabatty It's on BBC iPlayer but only for 12 days. There's a trailer on You Tube but it gives rather a lot away! Better not to see it I think, and discover what's going on as you watch. It's basically a chilling and intelligent sci-fi which is definitely unsettling.

Where is it on? It sounds like something I would definitely watch.

It was definitely a film I won't forget. Most things are forgettable but not this. There was a sinister atmosphere and did you notice the 'music' (if you can call it that)? There were a lot of bangs and dogs barking! I've never heard anything like it. Extremely annoying but it added to overall creepiness.

Yes, I've watched it. I thought Kerry Fox was very good in it. I have always been a bit surprised that she has not become more successful.
Agree that it is very creepy.

Did anyone see this recently? It was about some plant breeders who had created a bright red flower called Little Joe. Definitely had elements of Day of the Triffids I thought, the idea of plants taking over the world through their pollen. It was actually really creepy I thought.
