Just watched The Father; superb acting from Anthony Hopkins, Olivia Coleman and supporting actors.
Anthony Hopkins's character has dementia and the film shows this dreadful disease from his perspective. A sad and sometimes alarming film.
Like many people, I have witnessed and cared for family with dementia. I wish this film had been around then as I would have understood more

I have started watching this but DH got upset and asked me to stop it. I shall continue with it later. Anthony Hopkins is a marvelous actor - fabulous voice and always so senstive.

Superb acting by Anthony Hopkins not so sure about Olivia Colman.
Really showed how scary dementia can be for the sufferer and their family.

Such a moving and thought provoking film. Anthony Hopkins’ Academy Award last year was well deserved.
