Maybe Sean isn't having an affair with anyone? I think he is communicating with Coral Girl about his daughter's problem (maybe raped by Jake?), but they can't tell the mum because she is a police woman. That's why the messages need to be deleted.

What a bunch of unlikable people. JH doing her usual role with occasional long stares, sad face, soulfull stare. If they cut them out the programme would be half the length. Am I mistaken or has Sean shagged (sorry) all of them, or is there one he hasn't had and is he trying to complete the set?.

My er, brain, struggled to cope with so many characters all at once as I can barely recall their names or who is married to who. Sean looks like a slightly disreputable type and his wife over-anxious. None of them seem to be having fun (apart from when the women got stupidly drunk) and it's meant to be a holiday - but I expect that's the point.

I'm not sure that any of the characters are particularly likeable (apart from the younger lad) and if you were reading the book why would you turn the page if you don't like them or care what happens to them?

Thus far, the men (apart from the dishy but scruffy Sean) just look anonymous and grey. Jake is worse than the average moody teenager and I feel that someone is holding a nasty secret. I'm sure there are red herrings but I'll stick with it though to see what happens next.

I have watched two episodes and don’t care about any of the characters except the little boy. I don’t think I will bother to watch the rest as I am finally watching Breaking Bad and there are five series.

I watched this but actually thought how glamorous they all looked,,I look a right tip on holiday.
When I finished watching this I was so tense it was all so horrible with all the actors not liking each other but I will carry on watching it to see how it turns out.
A bit of humour wouldn't have gone amiss.

Fell asleep towards the end, so no idea what went on. Will have to re-watch bits. Not sure if I’m that bothered though.

Their hair is bound to look terrible when they have it loose and hanging around when they are applying suncream! That is definitely the time when I would tie it back or put it up. They seem to do it only when going out in the evening.

The amount of alcohol each person drinks amazes me that each is not suffering from cirrhosis of the liver.

I did not recognise Jill H last night. I agree re the hairstyles- washing their hair in a shower would not go amiss.

They're all very highly strung!
I liked the look of the lunch by the pool though.

Am watching but not sure why. Maybe i need a holiday but not like this one. Friends like these, no one needs, dire.

Have watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Jill Halfpenny gave another weak performance. I could not understand some of her mumbling.

I’ve recently posted a thread on here re Bluetooth headphones, they really help when the sound is bad, this seems to be a problem these days.

My first thoughts were how scruffy everyone looks. The women have hair that looks like it's never been brushed, ragged and unkempt, and in such poor condition (esp the blonde mistress). Her husband looks like a tramp who needs a good wash.

I had been having trouble with TV sound and background noise in restaurants etc. so got a digital hearing aid from Boots. It has a little device which links straight to the TV and wow what a difference! I can hear every word crystal clear.

I kept thinking that her husband needed a shave. I couldn't seem to concentrate on it, but I will watch it again tonight as I like Jill Halfpenny.

If you think your hearing needs testing, watch an old film, preferably black and white, and you will probably be able to hear every word. If you can't, then your hearing may need testing.

I’d like Ann Cleeves to write a prequel to Vera - her upbringing with Hector and how she decided to join the Police and her early days with The Force and cast Jill Halfpenny as Vera. At least the accent would be right!

The mumbling wasn't a problem for me, but reading the texts at speed was!
The daughter has got to be the dark horse in the story?

The house looked lovely. I could live there but without the cast. Perhaps just a chef and a hunky gardener, oh yes, I have one of those.

At least it wasn't filmed in the dark it was bright and sunny ?. We'll see how it pans out.

I also enjoyed it. I was beginning to think I need my hearing tested because a lot of the actors mumble and/or speak too quickly.
