Does anyone else get really irritated by many of the people featured on these house selling shows. I suppose they are told to be really picky and negative but some of them really do take the cake, so to speak. Horrible, whining people with far too much money and it’s all about ‘me’. Are they for real ?

Grand designs!

That bathroom sounds lovely MissA

I’ve been waiting for coloured bath suites to make a return.
Long overdue smile

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:08:44

Oh it was really lovely, I thought, anyway.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:11:26

There it is. smile

AreWeThereYet Tue 08-Mar-22 14:13:05

You're welcome to that one MissA. Please don't start a trend ?

JaneJudge Tue 08-Mar-22 14:14:47

it is on pinterest

not sure if you have to be on pinterest though. It is holding me hostage and I cannot escape

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:15:43

I'd rather like one of those corner baths, with the built in jacuzzi jets.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 08-Mar-22 14:15:56

I wish them luck if they ever want to sell that MissA.

FannyCornforth Tue 08-Mar-22 14:16:55

I love the suite but hate the walls.
I would have gone full on Victorian , but that’s me.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 08-Mar-22 14:18:28

We have a jacuzzi bath MissA, not a corner one though. It was here when we bought the house and we’ve never used it, prefer showers. So it’s totally wasted on us.

Everyone seems to want to live on 'the edge of a village' don't they?

Some are just showing off and being very picky - with so many millions to spend. They want perfection when it would be easy to make changes, but have no imagination.

I do like looking at the properties though - just try to ignore the people.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:24:22

Ooh, I imagine sharing a corner bath with a glass of bubbly and a hairy chested man.
Like in the films.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:26:00

I used to only like the real chocolate box cottages, but now I enjoy the big, glassy, sleek places.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 08-Mar-22 14:26:10

Each to their own! Or perhaps I’m showing my age!?

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 08-Mar-22 14:28:23

That was about the man in the bath. Been there, done the maintenance on the choc box cottages. Present home is very modern with no draughts!

AreWeThereYet Tue 08-Mar-22 14:30:40

We used to have a jaccuzi bath. I always forgot to turn on the jets before getting in the bath. When I did turn them on I got jetted with cold water that had been sitting in the jets and had to reheat the bath water. The idea was much nicer than the reality. Only used it about a dozen times, I think.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:32:39

My friend had one, (jacuzzi, not hairy chested man) and she said the same thing.

JaneJudge Tue 08-Mar-22 14:37:24

we once went to a pub with rooms that had such a gorgeous bathroom with roll top bath. I managed two baths and one shower in the space of an overnight stay. Maybe it is a called a clean weekend

Hetty58 Tue 08-Mar-22 14:37:31

No jacuzzis for me - too many bacteria. Why does a place have to 'tick all the boxes'? Always waiting for that = so annoying.

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:39:27

I get quite angry if they don't like the place I do.

JaneJudge Tue 08-Mar-22 14:39:58

Don’t be, it means you’re still in with a chance!

Zoejory Tue 08-Mar-22 14:42:30

Love that bathroom, MissAdventure

This all white stuff needs to go . A friend has a frightfully expensive all white and chrome and clean lines. I hate it. I always feel like I'm walking into one of those autopsy rooms.

Bring back colour!

MissAdventure Tue 08-Mar-22 14:44:42

I'd have to put some extra stuff in that bathroom, I think.
Some plants, for a start.

We used it have a Jacuzzi bath. It was so noisy it was anything but relaxing.

Also, a bubble bath was out of the question unless you wanted a room full of bubbles

I love the pastel multi-coloured bathroom pic from the previous page. Friends have recently renovated two bathrooms and have taken out (and thrown away) a beautiful pale blue and an equally beautiful pale pink bathroom suite.

I did my best to persuade them to keep it. Though, when I got married almost 40 years ago, it was all chocolate brown and avocado. I searched for ages (no internet then) for a white bathroom suite.
