New thread required, old one full.

I didn't watch Wednesday or Friday. Have given up. Waste of time that I won't get back.

Calendargirl Sat 29-Oct-22 07:23:08

Yes, definitely disjointed rubbish.

Don’t think Nick could think it very wise for his 82 year old grandmother, recently depressed, suicidal and prone to over drinking to take her step great grandson on her own on a trip to see the Northern Lights. Poor Sam has had various issues and ten days or however long in Audrey’s sole company would be enough to tip him over the edge. “My darling” and “my sweetheart” ringing constantly in his ears wouldn’t help.

What has it to do with Tracy if Ken offers Daniel and Daisy a room in his house? Why doesn’t he just say “Butt out Tracy, not up to you!”

As for Dee Dee and Paul dancing round the kitchen, after Dev has left it up to him and Daniel to sort out the rental agreement?.. really?

As for Eileen’s ‘spiritual awakening’…..

Think I will join lemsip in writing to complain. The storylines are just pathetic.

(And I know I can turn it off!).

corrie is just a lot of disjointed rubbish lately I have emailed [email protected] to tell them what I think.

I was hoping to see dev come accross bernie's doppelganger tonight, and think it's bernie, maybe that'll be next monday.

Yes I agree Grannynannywanny Sam will see what is happening.
Let's hope it happens soon and the dreadful Stephen disappears, a propos of that where is the body ? Still no answer for that question.

Grannynannywanny Thu 27-Oct-22 09:55:18

Young Sam seems to be at the forefront of scenes again and has suddenly become close to Audrey. I suspect he’ll become suspicious of the dastardly Stephen and will come to Audrey’s rescue.

Franbern Thu 27-Oct-22 09:09:38

OMG how much more are they spinning this silly story about Audrey and her bad acting son? So very fed up with it, I have taken to fast forwarding every scene he is in.

Calendargirl Tue 25-Oct-22 06:53:37

In RL, Eileen would still be lying on the pavement, or on a trolley in a hospital corridor for the past few episodes.

vegansrock Tue 25-Oct-22 06:42:22

What’s happened to Abi and the baby ? Toyah and Spider? Haven’t heard of those storylines lately. I see a Eileen got super speedy A and E treatment after slipping on a pumpkin.

Sara1954 Tue 25-Oct-22 06:12:02

We are always a bit behind, but caught up a bit last night with the truth about Stu storyline.
I can’t help thinking I would have done the same as Lucy, protecting my child and throwing my philandering husband under a bus.
Maybe it’s because Stu is another one I don’t like.

When Stephen dropped the smashed phone in the bin, I wondered if Bernie would search the bin for Fern's details!

I really am fed up and bored with the Summer story, as a character I find her an absolute pain, and those three ridiculous men treating her as if she’s the most important person on the planet, then the Aaron over the top story line, and now, what do you know, she’s pregnant!
I may stop watching it now, I can’t stand Paul, actually I can’t stand any of them.

I feel exactly like you over this as well

Calendargirl Mon 24-Oct-22 21:00:33

And if I had been Stephen, I wouldn’t have smashed the phone down the ginnel, where anyone could have seen me doing it.
And I wouldn’t have dropped the bits in a nearby dustbin, would have taken them into town and used different anonymous litter bins.

Amateur!

Calendargirl Mon 24-Oct-22 20:44:40

Does no one wonder why Stephen never seems to do any type of work? Always in the Rovers or hanging about in the Street, butting in on private conversations and offering unwanted advice?
I hope Teddy gives him another punch.

And drippy Summer with drippy Aaron, does she never have to go in to work either?

Doodledog Sun 23-Oct-22 23:29:47

That's very sad, Franbern flowers. I can understand the couple feeling desperate, but can't imagine Summer wanting to hand over a baby (particularly when she's just found out she's pregnant) to someone she hardly knows.

Franbern Sun 23-Oct-22 14:19:54

I will admit that very many years ago, when I thought I would never be able to become pregnant, I went to a temporary job and there was a young woman there, very pregnant. I learned that she had been sent by her parents to London to hide this fact (single Mum). I was sooooo tempted to ask her if I and hubbie could adopt that baby. Did not summon up courage -heard she was going into one of those Mother and Baby homes where an adoption would then be arranged. Each morning on my way to work I would go through the conversation I would have with her. But it never happened.
So, yes I can feel that this could happen. You have to understand that desperation to understand how and why.

I was one of the fortunate ones, Eventually the problems were sorted out and I had five babies of my own.

Doodledog Sun 23-Oct-22 10:53:08

Yes, I think so. Billy roped Summer in to help them with a clothes sale or something, so obviously on that acquaintance she'd be happy to hand over her baby.

Calendargirl Sun 23-Oct-22 10:49:40

Where did the prospective adopter woman appear from? I know she was behind this charity clothes swap, but she seems to have materialised from nowhere.

Of course, she might have come in when I nodded off, as I do tend to when the story line is extra silly.

Are she and her husband friends of Billy from church?

Doodledog Sun 23-Oct-22 10:04:41

How likely is it that a couple would meet a young woman who has just found that she is pregnant, then offer to adopt her baby within ten minutes of the 'announcement', without so much as a proper discussion between them?

And I know that the trinity of Billy Paul and Todd are clueless berks, but the way they question Summer about personal matters is beyond tactless. Paul's utterly inept handling of the secret he's been asked to keep was ridiculous.

Rosina Sun 23-Oct-22 09:36:33

Where is the body? Several storylines have stretched credibility to snapping point, but this one..... Assuming Stephen used the Underworld van then he must have moved the corpse, unless we are to believe that 'Kirky' is so dim that he would not notice.

Sara1954 Sun 23-Oct-22 09:15:22

That was a very brief glimpse of the quads!

Calendargirl Fri 21-Oct-22 21:01:59

Wow, we actually saw all four of the quads together!????

Poor Summer. Only known for 24 hours she’s pregnant, now deciding whether to keep, abort or adoption.

Perhaps a visit to Doctor Gaddas would be the first sensible step.

Calendargirl Tue 18-Oct-22 14:54:34

TBH, I find Tim’s character increasingly irritating, and don’t think in RL Sally would be with him.

Not very bright, and easily led.

Ilovecheese Tue 18-Oct-22 12:22:58

I think there are two interesting stories on Corrie at the moment.
Is Tim's chumminess with Aggie as great a betrayal as if they really had an affair? In my eyes yes, it would be so humiliating to know that one's sex life had been discussed with another woman.
The other story is Max liking the refugee boy before he found that he had taken a place at Wethie High, will it change his opinion on all refugees.

Calendargirl Tue 18-Oct-22 11:19:59

As if the jewellery shop manager would dash off, leaving the premises in the charge of a ‘new’ cleaner, after shouting out a few instructions.

Do the writers ever give any thought to the unbelievable twaddle they put us through?
